The magic in 'Twin Trials' wouldn't mesh with Alex's.

I used the system clock. I suppose here's where you tell me again how I'm wrong, so I'll just STFU.

It was posted at 12:01am my local time. I suppose I should have done the math and set it to post when the entire world was Apr 1st.

Could be That story is quite the low priority, but it might happen.

As many of you figured out, this was an April Fool's joke. This chapter will be treated as if it never happened.

The smell of bacon pulled me out of my sleep and, as consciousness hit me, so did the awareness that something was different. When I went to sleep, there was a body on either side of me in the king-sized bed. Now, there were no bodies, and the bed was much smaller. I had just realized I was back in my childhood bedroom when the door opened, and Dad poked his head in. “Hey bud, are you feeling alright? It’s almost six,” he asked in a concerned tone. I coughed to cover the sob that tried

Like I said, I didn't realize this was directly from Eragon until I just did some research. I am of two minds right now; I can edit this out because I don't like anyone thinking I may have plagiarized a name or tried to copy someone else's work, or I can leave it in as an honest mistake, and for those of you that like to think of it, as a nod to Eragon.

Actually, I just ask my AI to generate some dragon names. If I remember correctly I wanted them to have meaning or to come from antiquity but I don't exactly remember. It definitely was not an intentional nod to anyone.

The conversation about Admiral Hopper's shocking revelation—that vampires seemed able, and willing, to intrude on the private lives of humans—would have to wait. She simply ignored our stunned silence and asked for a private meeting between her, Tommy, and me. When I objected, she insisted that no one else was cleared for the information she needed to share. As if to emphasize the high level of secrecy, she asked her aide to excuse himself from our meeting as well. Once we were alone, she r

Well, I was on a roll and was doing pretty well, but the next chapter might be a while. I've been trying to write more since this chapter was posted, but I just can't seem to keep my heart in the story. If I can't find my muse soon, I'll put the story on 'long term hold'. I'm sorry.

Oh, that was simply totake care of and never stop loving my boy. I guess I DID fail to mention that after he died, huh?
-
Isn't attempting to trace the yarn half the fun? I think most understand it's a family gift, not a bribe. As to New York, who knows?

It is a thread that needs tied, you're right. I am fairly certain there are threads older than that one that still need tied.

I'm risking spoilers here, but keep in mind, Dracul's 'rules' on heraldry are more loose than human ones. That said, I've formed the COA for reasons. In Greg's mind, every choice, or MOST choices, were simply 'what looks cool'. Greg is innocent of most of the subtleties involved in the symbology of heraldry. I feel I've already ruined my plans by even saying this, but I WILL toss out ONE SPOILER. Greg's "World" is NOT "our" world. He exists in an alt-history, which shall be revealed in future chapters. That said, Queen Elizabeth II never ascended the throne; most US Presidents after ~1940 don't exist; and several countries that are/were in existence in OUR 2014 are quite different than those you're familiar with.

Or the problems he sees are problems that must be solved to grow. Or he sees balance. Or he sees adventure. Or he sees saws.

Since when does reason come into play in my writing? Other than 'I have my reasons' 😇
-
Should it? Is Dracul Britain?

After breakfast, Billy fed Brian while Jake went to the airport to greet our visitor. On the way back, he contacted me mind-to-mind to say that the IT representative had requested a meeting with my entire council. When Jake entered my office, accompanied by a short, slim woman who looked to be about thirty, we all stood. "My Lord, may I present Admiral Grace Hopper, Deputy Director of JANUS, North America. Admiral Hopper, Baron Gregory Fowler, Baron of Pittsburgh." The Admiral gave a s

Flash Bangs and Asshats
Justin4Fun commented on AquariusGuy's story chapter in Flash Bangs and Asshats
Okay, I just finished binge reading and I have a few things to say to you Mr Aquariusguy. First, I love your story!! This is awesome! I want more and I want it now!!!!! Second, I don't ever want to see a comment from you on my stories about cliffhangers. Never. Nada. Don't you dare. Now, back to the first comment, I want more!! -
Look, you stupid bastard, you've got no arms left! Right! I'll have your leg! Oh, I see. Running away, eh? You yellow bastards come back here and take what's coming to you! I'll bite your legs off!

With the emergency lights flashing, we flew up I-376 and through the Fort Pitt Tunnel. I thought the bitch handle would rip off in my hands as Tony took the Grant Street exit at more than twice the posted safe speed. The Denali was still moving as I leapt from the back seat and ran. Before I got to the entrance, an ambulance pulled up. When the EMTs opened the doors, they helped Brian climb down from the back with a splint on his arm, obviously in pain. Our eyes met, and he grinned. "Nice t

Oh hush! This was in talking to the kids. Greg called Billy "Pappy" which is a nickname for ME from my grandkids. I must have typed it and failed to see it. You gonna keep bugging me or let me write?
-
Corrected some spelling errors and a misplaced name. Somehow, "Papa" was "Pappy"; no such person in this story! LOL

I appreciate everyone's patience. Writing just became work, and I lost interest. I never doubted I'd come back, I just didn't know WHEN. I actually started a non-supernatural, straight, historical fiction story and got all worked up about it, then it kinda died out. I'm back, for now, and have LOTS of ideas. I just hope I can carry them through.
