After spending the day dealing with Court politics, I was happy when we finally loaded into the Escalades and headed for the hotel. We quickly changed into jeans and soon were taking off for Pittsburgh. On the flight home, I spent some time with Ted, asking about the other flight crew. I was told that they were excellent pilots but not the most personable. He then added that if I needed another crew for the small plane, he knew a mated pair that would were unemployed and might like an interview.

I followed Primo Fiore to find Count Nardone in a corner, surrounded by his Viscounts. I feel I need to correct some misunderstandings you seem to have. First- While Vlad is Scott's (and Greg's) grandfather, his only role as a ruler was as Voivode of Wallachia. The prophesied king is 'said' to be a descendent of Vlad. Second- Andrew's mention of what "The Duke" preferred was a reference to his employment by the Duke of Wellington. Sorry if that was confusing. Third- Supremo... google it! Fourth- I'm not sure where you got the idea that Marco is a changeling. He's not. And as to why he wants to serve Greg... it's a mystery!

Within minutes of Scott’s summons, our suite was once again filled with our entire party, apart from five Marshals who were off duty. They were at the beach and could not return in time. As our three-vehicle convoy headed to the airport, I went over a few things with Scott and Billy that I wanted to discuss while on the plane. Thank you so much. As I wrote the original, I felt like I needed to constantly one-up myself by pushing the envelope. It led to a rather fast progression and some very huge stretches of the imagination. For fans of the original, I will be bringing in several more characters and, while you might not recognize them by name, you should realize who they are once things develop. I'll shut up now as I'm risking spoilers.

Along these same lines, as recently as 150 years ago, a girl of 12 being married off wasn't rare, so the Baron's proclivities weren't unheard of. This is why Dracul law is what it is, as a vampire at 4 is roughly a human of 12. Granted, as there is NO age limit, it can get ugly.
