Vern Running hummed an indistinguishable tune as he jumped out of his small fishing boat onto Arthur’s dock on the southeast end of Ledecker Island. Actually, not Arthur’s dock—even dead five years now, it was Mister Ledecker’s dock. Dedicated handy man and helper for most of his adult life, Vern first worked at Arthur’s company as a common laborer. Initially ordered to run errands, Vern eventually became Arthur’s right hand man. A shock of mousy brown hair, always having a three-day growth

Oh yes! Those darn hormones! Thanks for reading.
-
You’ll have to read on to find out what happens now! Thayer, at minimum, is confused. In the previous chapter, “Cocks, balls, boys, girls, tits, pussies, butts. Always without faces.” Mildly attracted to Cutie, perhaps more flattered than anything else. Everything is thrown up in the air when he discovers a magnetic attraction to C.O., shocked to find out that he even exists in C.O.’s consciousness.
-
The plot thickens! Thanks so much for reading.

Interesting observation. There’s no explicit double entendres intended. You can read whatever you want into Deck, Cutie, C.O., Romey, and Thayer. Names are an important part of character development.

Lee Ledecker, or Deck as almost everyone referred to him, stood on a rock overlooking Ledecker Island’s shoreline, hands on his hips, staring across the bay to the mainland. He let out a long breath, trying to release some of the tension he was wrestling with. Just turned forty, the prodigal son, numero uno, heir to the throne. Well, still awaiting his ascent to the throne. Standing in his way—his younger brother Dick, his little brother Louie, and his baby sister Linda. And, of course, tha

Thanks for reading the first chapter. Interesting speculation on your part! Let’s see what happens!
-
A sixteen-year-old boy wrestles with his sexuality, hormones, and obsessions innocently unaware that his world is surrounded by murder, mayhem, and tomfoolery. Swirling around him, a supporting cast of boys, girls, men, and women, indulge themselves and each other in a series of erotic, tawdry, and sometimes humorous encounters.

“Boy!” Thayer jerked at the sound, like receiving an electric shock, coming to attention as he looked wildly around. Only his second day on the job, not even close to getting the hang of it. Each task, by itself, wasn’t that hard. Pumping gas, counting out minnows, selling fishing licenses, running the cash register. When he was working the docks, pushing rented Alumacraft fishing boats off of the shore, mounting trolling motors, handing out oars and life preservers, tying up the incom

Just a Trial Period, or More?
JLynch commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Just a Trial Period, or More?
Excellent beginning to this story, one of the best I’ve read in a long while. Very clean writing, easy to understand. You’re fortunate to have Zuri. Is Zuri a beta reader, editor, or a combination? I would find it scary to write and publish at the same time, for fear I might get stuck or develop writer’s block. -

I tried to wrap a ribbon around the major characters beginning with Chapter 32. Scottie and Randy together, with Scottie destined to become a major super model. Day and Liam fully partnered. Winnie and Micah living a refined life. Toby with the love of his life, Bell. Carey and Apollo reunited for all time. Earlier, it appeared as if Da and Ally would be in a long term relationship. The same with Kaito and Dirk. We don’t know what happens to Harper. Do we actually care? I’d actually written a chapter ending where Marti is on a gurney heading into surgery for a double mastectomy with Gee looking on, tears in his eyes. I deleted it, although it did appear in a different version published on another platform. But, they were all wonderful characters I loved immensely.

I’m most appreciative of your dedication to reading my work and your very supportive comments. My intuition tells me these characters will be retired, but you never know. I’m hard at work on a new tale…all new characters!
-
Good comment about the many characters. Perhaps I should have included a “refresher” of sorts as characters reappeared.

Carey returned to his study table in the library after returning several books to the stacks. Notebooks and his laptop stacked neatly. Empty coffee cups and power bar wrappers dumped in a nearby garbage can. His last semester as an undergrad. Most students had already left campus for MLK weekend. Carey lagged behind, partly to finish up some loose ends, but mostly to put the finishing touches on his application to the RAND Corporation’s associate program. After a headhunter called him out

“Do tell, Mr. Gallivan,” Mr. Thinkwell inquired, “Were you able to secure reservations for the Livingston’s at Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room?” Toby hadn’t seen the hotel manager glide up to his post at the concierge desk. Head down, he was too busy staring at the three text messages that had come in, one after another. “Huh? Oh, sorry.” Toby made a pre-tense of typing something into his computer. “Mr. Gallivan?” Toby swept the hair out of his eyes. Thinkwell should have chewed

There are many entitled and wealthy…and spoiled for that matter.

I don’t think we could just leave CeeCee, Vonnie, Day, Randy, and Scottie behind. Do you?

Raw. Randy pulled the Sherpa lined lambskin jacket around his chest, huddling against the stiff wind. $5500, or so he’d been told. He hadn’t paid anything for it; it was a gift. And, not even a gift for him. He smiled to himself, thinking of Scottie. January in Milan. Who wudda thought? When they got back home from the lake, his relationship with Carey began to cool. What was the future for them, anyway? The sex was, well, incredible. A relationship? Nah. Carey’s mind was already on sc

There is, obviously, an infinite number of possibilities. The outcome, however, has already been written. Hold onto your chair!

What you are suggesting is plausible. But, think about it. Apollo has been off the grid for some time. He may have an idea as to where Carey is, but does he have a phone number? For that matter, how does he know Carey hasn’t moved on? Is Omar’s threat real? Apparently, @Lee Wilson has doubts. On the other hand, @drsawzall warning that this may not end well, is a valid concern. This chapter is meant to ratchet up the tension. Apparently, it has!

Yes, the current profile photo is the one that inspired the character, Liam.

November. As the weeks passed, Apollo saw less and less of Amir. The weeks seemed to roll by, one listless day after another. Once in awhile, Amir would send for him. Increasingly, he had a hard time getting it up or even getting off. Mostly, he was content to just suck Apollo’s cock down his throat. Apollo was awakened in the middle of the night or early in the morning on occasion when Ebony could sneak away. She’d crawl into bed with him, slip down between his legs, and swallow him.

My current profile photo, as of the publication date of this chapter, was the inspiration for the Liam character.
