  1. Toby threw his backpack up onto the counter. “What’s up?” Karla glanced up from her computer and glared at him. “Just the usual shit.” Having gotten the first bus from Johnson High School in Savannah where he was now a senior, Toby arrived back on Tybee Island in time for his after school job at Sav-Hil Vacation Rentals. Eighteen-years-old, still cute in a boyish way. A growth spurt had stretched him out to nearly 5’8.” Slender, narrow hips, with a twenty-nine-inch waist.
  2. “Bruh!” Bell had run into Carey on campus, of all places. Bell looked even better, if it was possible, than he had looked when he first met him. Carey thought back. That amazing cock rubbing against his butt cheeks. His brazen display of sex, Carey watching, as he pushed a butt plug up his ass. The kid was one complete erogenous zone. A chance encounter. Bell, now a high school senior, was on campus early in the fall for a tour. The idea of it was kind of a joke but it was a good
  3. Thank you all so much for these generous comments. I always considered this story more character driven than story driven. Toby, Bell, Carey, and more. I’m surprised and delighted that characters like Micah, Harper and Ha-joon have attracted so much interest. It’s making me rethink the narrative, at least to some extent. I guess we shall see…we shall see.
  4. I have to admit I was mortified when I discovered that I’d published Chapter 13 when it was supposed to be Chapter 14. I lost a lot of sleep that night, wondering what I should do. I hope it doesn’t interrupt the flow too much.
  5. Sunny warm day. Spring was finally here. Carey sat on a low brick wall running along one of the campus walks. A great place to nibble on a sandwich and people watch. Everybody seemed to have an extra bounce in their step. The new season brings you hope, Carey thought. A chance to put the past in the rear view mirror. Once again, he vowed to put all of the lurid behavior behind him. There had been too much fucking around. Literally. A girl walked by, braless. Her tits bouncing lightly
  6. Was available on Amazon. Sold out of the first run…Ha!
  7. He didn’t see it coming. One moment he was reaching into his locker for a notebook, the next moment he was on the floor, books and papers scattered around him. “Sorry,” the guy said, a mocking smile on his face. He and another boy guffawed and snorted as they continued down the school’s main hallway. Landry Smith, a bully and a buffoon, was Johnson High School’s troublemaker number one, the apparent culprit of a hip check that had sent Toby flying. His sidekick, Rollie Finger, was numero d
  8. I just LOVE your comments!
  9. Spring semester. He wasn’t even two weeks into classes when he received a text message from his mother to call home right away. When he reached her, he found out his grandfather, her father, had passed away. Sad, not tragic. He had suffered from Alzheimer’s disease for several years. Carey hadn’t even seen him in over five years. His mother told him the funeral would be in three days. Out of respect for him and as a favor to her, she asked him to attend. Two days later, he jumped in h
  10. Haha! If that’s going to happen, I’ll have to do a major rewrite! Interesting scenario…fun to speculate…and I really appreciate your insights.
  11. There is lots to learn! BTW…for all those reading along, my profile photo is actually the person who the Carey character is physically modeled after, even though, in reality, I don’t believe he is anything like Carey.
  12. Intentionally weird and out of this world. There is no end to the ways a mind can get twisted.
  13. I’m really enjoying this story. Good work!
  14. The week dragged on at a snail’s pace. It seemed like forever until Tuesday arrived. Carey’s mind thrummed with noise. Was this some form of sexual exploitation? Not really. He wasn’t underage. He knew nothing about what was going to happen at this so-called meeting. Maybe it was nothing more than an intellectual exercise. Researchers, albeit a bit warped, collecting information about the sex lives and preferences of today’s college students. On the other hand, the idea of consenting,
  15. I’m in the midst of publishing my first story on this platform. I wanted to share how GA has encouraged/forced/required me to be a better writer. My story was 100% complete before I began the process of publishing it here, chapter by chapter. I’ve discovered a few things. 1. Previously, I thought of myself as a pretty good writer. That being said, I only had nifty and a couple of other sites to use for comparison. After hanging out on GA consistently, I’ve found that I’m in the company of many VERY good writers, lots of whom leave me behind in the dust. Their story telling ability, compelling and unique narratives, and realistic dialogue are truly impressive. 2. GA’s standards have made me look at my work with a more discerning eye. Early on, I was called out by a moderator for inserting too much sexual activity and not enough character and story in my work. The moderator was 100% correct. Although my work is still infused with a lot of sex, I’m much more careful about fleshing out the important story leading into and out of each one of these encounters. Overall, the story just makes more sense now. I’ll continue to rewrite future chapters to insure these standards are met. 3. I’d like to call out the numerous active readers of my work and other works on this site for making comments, recommendations, and giving reactions. They truly help and encourage me. Anybody else? What has your experience been like on this site?

    Chapter 10 OxyStat

You’re welcome, @Anton_Cloche When I first came across an account of this kind of secret society, I thought it was the figment of the author’s imagination. I’m finding here and in other materials that such groups existed (and probably do exist) at various learning institutions. There’s no question that administrations and even the law want to look the other way. When underage youth are involved, there’s no question that it is a legal situation. Once people have gained majority, however, it gets down to their own willingness (or lack thereof) to report it. Even then, unless the institutions have specific language around these kinds of activities, there’s little guarantee that it will be stopped or the participants punished in any way. Read on!

Thanks for all of your generous comments. I appreciate your dedication to reading my work.

    Chapter 10 OxyStat

Indeed, this part of the narrative is based on an account I read involving just this kind of group, apparently active at one time at a fabled institution of higher learning.
  19. Numb. What an idiot, Carey thought. Why had he fallen so hard for this guy? A boy. Not even a man. Really, get your head screwed on right, he admonished himself. How could he get so emotionally sucked in after a hook-up? Well…more than a hook-up. From the moment he first saw Apollo sitting on the grass with his head tucked into his arms in that traffic median, there was some kind of primal emotional connection. He needed to be close to this…guy, boy, whatever. Mentally, he plotted what it would
  20. How is a “Top Author” determined? Same with “Recommended?”
  21. So, what’s an accurate gauge to measure by…total readers as well as comparing to other authors and other storie?
  22. I appreciate all of the information and good advice rendered in this thread. I’m still a bit confused, however. What do “views” mean? Is that simply someone scrolling past the story on the activity or latest entry pages? Or, is it someone actually clicking on the story. Same for chapter views. Why are they significantly lower than views for the overall story?
  23. Can I quote you on this?
  24. Aching. Aching back, aching fingers, aching knees. Toby hoisted the last tray of dirty dishes, one side resting on his shoulder, the other balanced against the tips of his fingers. He hadn’t really been looking for a second job but one of his school friends, Reilly O’Shea, begged him to apply for the open busboy’s position. They were desperate for help at Fannies on the Beach, this being mid-season. With a sigh, Toby gave in and went in the next day to apply. He was hired on immediately. “R
  25. How long had it been? Carey checked his phone and yawned. Just over six hours in the library. The building shook periodically as a mid-summer thunder storm raged outside. He’d been cramming away since three o’clock. His brain was mush but it had been worth it. A twenty-five page paper for his History course pretty much put to bed. He’d gone over notes for tomorrow’s Poly Sci mid-term three times. Enough was enough. As he waited for the thunder storm to abate, Carey slouched into a ne
