Chapter 27: After All These Years
RichardWrites commented on RichardWrites's story chapter in Chapter 27: After All These Years
Yup Toby was already a musical prodigy so it was a natural career path for him. A lot of musicians do use fake names. As for Alex, I’m not entirely sure what happened to land him in jail but there’s a possibility for a one shot there. And I’m not sure what Oliver’s OF username is. He’d likely use a made up screen name there. Thank YOU for reading along. Alex likely didn’t kill anyone. He’s not yhat evil. But there’s a lot of possibilities there. And yes Oliver and Cody were a good pair they only had it rough when they had to separate for college having different interests/needs. Thank you for reading. And yup they have their professional jobs after the time skip now that they’re in early/mid 20’s. Toby and Logan too, even if they live farther away now. Yeah Cody has a lot of regrets from his thing with Alex and (probably) seeing him get arrested in a foreign land. Them running into each other may have been a bit unrealistic but it’s not impossible. Thank you. And yes they get to be together for a much longer time now that they’re husbands. Other notes not a reply to any specific comment: This story was something that’s been in my brain since my late high school years so I’m glad to have finally finished it. Same with Aedan’s story in “Finding Myself” if you want to go read that one as well. That one is also finished as of February. Other stories I’m working on will probably not be as long haha I don’t need anymore 7-9 year projects. Will probably try for 10 chapters or less for other stories going forward. -
What an interesting ending. Ricky Wong and Alex Jamee gave me bad vibes from pretty early on after the investigation began, so I’m glad my intuition was right. Killian is putting his dating life on a pause, but I do hope he and Jacy try something. They seem to be a good fit together and there were some little hints at some kind of mutual feelings for each other. I’ve already said all I need to about Micah in some other chapters and about Asher in the other previous stories. Kilian is continuing to be a better detective he’s getting his license soon and is effective at solving these cases (and narrowly avoiding death)

I completely skipped over this chapter it seems Killian you need to pace yourself with the wine especially if you’re still as small as you’ve been described in book 1. It might taste and look like grape juice but it’s much stronger lol. Definitely some funny stuff with the interviews, too. A bit baffling that grown adults would speak that way in an interview you’re supposed to be professional!

August 1 2025 Santa Fe, New Mexico I stepped out of the taxi from the airport after paying the driver. I was in front of an office building, here for a job interview. I had on khaki pants and a light purple dress shirt. It took me five years to complete my four year bachelor’s degree. College was hard, but I made it through. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Web Development and I’m gonna make the best of it. I spent the last few months doing freelance hell, but it helped develop my p

Chapter 26: Parting Ways
RichardWrites commented on RichardWrites's story chapter in Chapter 26: Parting Ways
Cody will definitely find out some way or another. Oliver definitely showing a little maturity trying to largely avoid interactions with Alex, since things really tend to escalate between those two. Peru will certainly be an adventure for Cody. Alex can't keep up the double fronts forever, it's gonna slip at some point. Yeah, Cody fell to manipulation/gaslighting from Alex, who yes, is very much being a little prick. I won't spoil the last chapter, but a mini story about those two in Peru might end up getting a little standalone story in my one-shot collection. Logan has time to sort things out for sure and find other guys to date. Cody was Oliver's first crush and first boyfriend, so it's understandably a bit hard for him to let go of those feelings even after all those fights with Cody. Hopefully the reasons for the strange plot choices might become clearer in the final chapter. Thank you for your kind words Joseph. I am glad you enjoyed the story. -
May 15 2021 Jacksonville, Colorado I sighed as Logan parked his truck in his driveway. It had been a long ass day and I was ready to crash. We had our last finals that afternoon, and then had to rush to be moved out of our dorm by midnight. We had procrastinated on packing up our stuff until after our final exams. It was now 2AM, and we were finally home. Our freshman year was done. “It won’t rain tonight?” Logan asked. “Nah, babe,” I mumbled groggily, checking my weather app

Chapter 25: Bad Boys
RichardWrites commented on RichardWrites's story chapter in Chapter 25: Bad Boys
A lot of different topics in the comments: 1) Toby and baby #2: Toby certainly learned his lesson with Leo, so hopefully he knows how to use protection with his girlfriends. 2) Guys with A names: I guees I let my bias in a little bit. A lot of the Alex’s I have known in my life have been rude/snarky/standoffish, so I guess that influenced the name of that antagonist. Arlen was a name I picked from a character name list in an online RPG I used to play. Arlen felt like a sexy/mysterious name for that mysterious guy even if it doesn’t match his Greek surname. Anthony won’t be in this story though. 3) Cody… well… he’s very trusting of people, and Alex is being manipulative and taking advantage of Cody’s kind nature, and he’s very lenient with Alex since Alex was kicked out of home for being gay. He might be over-optimistic about trying to fix him/helping him change. Cody was only in this chapter through text messages, so we’ll see more of him in last 2 chapters. Alex… well we’ll see what becomes of him. 4) Toby & Blake. Wow lots of Toby comments. Toby is still straight. He just got super drunk and kissed his friend/roommate. Toby freaked out because he knows Blake has a crush on him (Toby mentioned it to Oliver some other chapter I think) so he didn’t want to give Blake the wrong idea. He’s looking out for his friend. 5) I am glad you like the characters and their relationships. XD. Some of them (like Arlen and Alex) might be a little unrealistic and over the top but they’re mostly pretty normal. -
Thank you! The story itself is standalone, but there's a non zero chance these characters might appear in another standalone story in the future. Emily lives on Earth, unfortunately. XD

April 6 2021 Harper, Colorado My 19th birthday was a normal boring school day, the Tuesday after Easter Weekend. On Saturday, I went paintballing with Logan, Chase, Mason, and Toby. That was a ton of fun. My parents called me today of course. And Logan has been super sweet all day. In basketball practice, we were given renewal forms to sign for another year in the university’s athletic program. It sounded like another fun season for my sophomore year! But, I was a bit hesitant. Chapter 24: Falling Out
RichardWrites commented on RichardWrites's story chapter in Chapter 24: Falling Out
Alex definitely picked up on some of those bigoted qualities from his family, even if they kicked him out at age 18. More on him in the next two chapters. Cody definitely is lenient and patient with him while Oliver and Logan are fed up with his arrogant/racist attitudes. Cody is definitely excited to go it probably won’t be a mistake for him. Alex might offend some people or get in some trouble there with his attitude. -
A collection of standalone one-shots. Will be updated periodically but probably never be "complete" per say. Rated Teen for now. The stories will largely fit in "Coming Of Age" or "Slice Of Life" type themes.

November 16 2021 West Hills, Indiana Landon Miller and I were hanging out talking about school, life, and our romantic feelings. Surprising, given that he’s a popular 8th grade football player, and I am a shy nerd. I only made the 8th grade basketball team because I’m tall for my age. Landon was super buff, wearing shorts, and not wearing a shirt. I was just in a tank top and gym shorts. Landon leaned in and kissed me before pulling off my shirt and smiled, running his hand over my 6

Glad to see Tad starting to open up around people. And welcome to the team, Chris. Hopefully she’s not too upset about the mountains of paperwork. That might be a dealbreaker for her but she’ll hopefully be an apprentice like Killian and work towards her license as well.

March 11 2021 Provo, Utah It was our final basketball game of the 2020-2021 season and we were up against Cody’s school, BYU, and we were the away team. It was also Cody’s 19th birthday. His last year as a teenager before he becomes a man. I was able to get a free ticket for him by bugging my coach about it. It was my little birthday gift to him. He was coming to the game with Alex. Eye roll The arena was full of BYU students and fans. Cody and Alex were probably smooching somewhe

Chapter 23: New Boyfriends
RichardWrites commented on RichardWrites's story chapter in Chapter 23: New Boyfriends
Oliver was being flirty as well so ghat might’ve had something to do with it. XD Logan certainly got the hint he’d been waiting a while for. Arlen is a self-important narcissist first. He isn’t worried about being rude to people. He’s definitely interested in Oliver. And probably several other guys. Right. Not much can be said when they’re always making out or giving each other bjs. XD
