All I had wanted was a good-humored evening. In pretty clothes, made up, with good company and delicious drinks. An evening that would help me decide what I actually wanted. Because: I had discussed with Tony what a redress-thing with Finley should look like, and apart from the important point that it had to be a place where I felt comfortable, it also had to be something where we could have a good conversation - preferably without scaring humans off. The result was dinner at the Golden Lea

Dante was a pretty standard misantrophic constant bad mood pubescent teenager Florian? No, you might mean Flavius from White Sheets. The Trioe itself does appear in the background of a story and Nico will get some extra screen time, but he and Dante meeting again will happen off-screen (and after Dante's main story). (I could write a chapter for it for this Another Time categoy but it would contain some spoilers.)

Dante passed the ball to Robert, whose feet danced with the ball for a moment before he shot. The ball smacked loudly against the padded mat that served as their goal, and their team emitted short whoops of joy while in the background Ottmar ended the game with two sharp whistles. "Five minutes!" he shouted loudly, and Dante expelled the air before slowly walking off the field. "Good pass.", Robert suddenly said behind him and he shrugged. "If you say so. You're the one who keeps

Slowly, the reddish-brown stain faded. With the shoulder Remy wiped some sweat from his face while he dripped more bleach on the stain and then continued scrubbing. Neither the sheet was his, nor the blood on it- whereas he was truly grateful for the latter- but that didn't change the intensity with which he worked. As long as he was in this household, no one would have to sleep on a sheet with old blood on it, not even Joy, who had managed to make herself unpopular in less than forty-eight

Add to that the fact that most pleasure slaves have a high status- especially in the upper class- and often enough fully embrace the "I'm more important than you" attitude. Given Dante's pride and the fact that he was deemed impotent, that makes for a nice mix. Or not, like oil and water. The first, I would say. Though I wouldn't put it beyond him to immediately calculate his chances. Oh holy, you honestly throw me off with this. Never before thought about this theory. Which tells you already the answer. But seriously, do you think Tom could rise to Blaise's favorite if that were the case? Anyway, we hear about Tom and the accident more, don't worry. Absolutely agree. (She has nice momets but I'm not sure you'd need a full hand to count them.) The kind of believes he has are indeed a not uncommon interpretation of their religion. He's young and if he got raised with those believes, if this is his first time in the wide world, so to speak, he might be confronted with other views for the first time. But, you know, getting rid of those ideas so deeply ingrained in you is hard. A newcomer acting high and mighty instead of askind for help/advice? Yupp. Not going to become my friend that easily.

"If you keep this up, the welts will never heal." "And you obviously have nothing better to do than stare at my backside, hmm?" "No." Tom's grin was clearly audible and Dante rolled his eyes, invisible to Tom, as he smoothed out the pillowcase on the clothesline. Before bending down for the matching blanket cover- the last item in the basket- he glanced over his shoulder. Tom was leaning in the doorway, arms folded in front of his chest, watching Dante work. His posture, his look, his

Highly likely Keep that thought in mind! @Danners I love your analysis! And that's what makes it so hard to write the Emmett POV now. Because Finley is acting. Punto e basta, as they say here. Yes, there are his instincts and feelings, but he's simply taking the situation, trying to control it. Emmett? Oh boy, he's truely a mess right now. You described that really well. Putting that down... yeah. Might take a moment longer to get it right. This might be the cleansing storm they needed. To break the circle of predator/prey-feel. But yes, a bit less emotional outburst would have sufficed.

I'd say wait and see but probably not, no. Yeah no, not like that, but I can't explain that in grand detail because spoiler let's say the dragon matriarch is like a queen- she and her prince consort make dutifully babies which get raised by nannies while they reign (and all that for quite a while, since they get several centuries old). A bit more modern, nowadays, but still. Uther is for Finley much more a father than their actual father ever was. And well at 12 he got sent to the Military Academy.
-
Let me have some fun too 😅 I'm a "developing while writing" author and fill the gaps betweens milestones while going. This fight was not planned as milestone 😅 To be honest, all your (all the commentors) interest in Mo made me invent Steven and then the snowball started down the hill... Well the Legion is a mix of humans and non-humans. From what Steven said he could have been talking as human. Only now in the end he showed he's not human. Weak dragon? Halfblood?
-
Next chapter we will skip back in time a bit to see the fight from Emmett's eyes. And of course what comes after. Steven can't be a younger brother. Finley said he (and Bomb) are the youngest. True, his father could have had an affair, but his father never went to the military. The "boyfriend" might be part of it, but I can't imagine it would be a big one. The purpose of rescue is too clear. Emmett is not only driven by flight-instincts or his healing nature, but he loves/needs peace too. I guess he was shocked to see Finley, who was till now nothing but gentle and sweet, to switch so effortless into fightmode.

I was the last to arrive at the Tempest. I had delivered a special bouquet of flowers for Patricia and then spent ages stuck in a traffic jam at a roadworks traffic light. My mood was accordingly. Annoyed, I sucked on my cigarette and almost choked on the smoke when I saw Emmett smiling at a stranger standing with the group as if he was one of them. At first glance, the guy looked like he could be one of my brothers. Strawberry-blond hair - which fell in a braid down to his bottom - incredi

Next chapter might give you a first answer to that. No. Dante and Remy will not meet during their stories. Dante will meet Joy, though, and here we will see some things interesting for Dante.
-
Remy rarely felt as free as he did in those early mornings of summer vacation, when his mistresses and the students were either out of the house or still asleep, and he could sit in the kitchen with the other slaves and have breakfast in perfect peace. It was only a little after six, but already hot and muggy outside, and they were all glad that their mistresses did not impose strict dress codes on them, as was common in other households. So Remy, his bare feet up, lolled on one of the bar stool

You're actually right on that one though since the others know he's not human and the know it's impolite to ask, they might wonder but not say it out loud. That said, normally dragons produce very few smoke and he can cover it up with the cigarettes. Now he's stressed (and there's another reason) and that's why there is so much smoke.

Patricia looked at me questioningly when I turned up at the store much earlier than expected. But she didn't say anything and I didn't say anything either, but turned to my tasks. I had called Tony to tell him what had happened and to ask him to let me know when Emmett arrived home. Or at least that had been my plan. Because first of all, Tony's phone was off and secondly, I wasn't even sure what had actually happened. It had been nice strolling through the greenhouses with Emmett,
