  1. That's a question to find answers for in the next chapter. Hopefully. He guess he was too scared, anxiously waiting for a note of ransom or the like. If he thought it was this guy, there must be a reason for it. But I don't think we will hear an answer to that question. She is going to be wet and muddy and bloody unhappy, you can bet! But I guess Winter is the type of woman who will argue like "would have changed nothing if we sent a search party, she was already dead" or this kind of stuff. *sigh* I hope they find her soon. Or maybe she killed Madeleine and is now in hiding. We will see...
  2. ~The Lawyer~ Once again, I felt like an impostor in my own office. Small and insignificant at this massive desk. But this time, it could well have been Michael Bell's fault, who was pacing nervously back and forth in front of the desk. โ€œMr. Bell,โ€ I began for the third time after he had stormed in and tried to explain to me in a barely intelligible mumble that he needed my help, โ€œMr. Bell, you have to talk to me. Otherwise, I can't help you.โ€ Mr. Bell paused, his gaze slowly s

You have to be patient before any sort of official denial or confirmation. But let's say Flynn's story-arc is not yet complete...

That's an interesting thought! Keep that in mind! We will hear about it soon.

    Friends & Brothers

We will hear about that soon. And let's say in general the next chapters will be intense. Alice is, like Dante, a great advocate of fairness. And as you said, Carolyn comepletely blew this up. Though there is hope, I dare say, cause she still cares about her children/Frank in this case enough to break through the tension. Frank was officially declared a mentally 10-year-old. But kids can be smart as hell. Never underestimate them! We hear more from Sawyer next chapter! And I promise both of them get some Another Time chapters in the near future.

    Frank

Right now it's difficult to say. From deadly jealousy to "duh, bi people exist, I want him happy" it could be everything. We (Dante) will see the result to this soon. But know, now the snowball has been set in motion...
  7. For a moment there was shocked silence. Attempts to escape could be punished with severe whippings, mutilation, or outright death. "Hey Ma..." Mistress Alice burst in on the tension, yawning, completely out of place in fluffy slippers and a flamingo-print robe over dark green pajamas. Matthew blushed hard and, completely unappropriate, Dante wondered if- if he were to face Alice naked someday- he would even have enough blood left over for an erection. "We have an ugly situation he
  8. This is just a one-shot, but I plan on having a couple more of "the man". Who will get a name next story. Cause next case we will meet back with Kellen and meet another battlemage. Oh well ๐Ÿ˜… lanky teenage-boy with babyface and more emotional breakdowns than good for him. I imagine on this very friday he either decided to come out to his grandpa, or he told already his family and he just got to hear from his paternal grandparents how he should attend one of those "healing church camps"...
  9. The car seemed new - it was indeed only three years old - but had already clocked up more kilometers than many a car at the end of its service life. The owner didn't care. If the license plate was to be believed, he was from Georgia, and it was a long way from there to Montana. It had taken him just over three years, working his way through all sorts of states, from one village to the next, towns - big and small - and anything worth a name. From one cursebreaker to the next.
  10. A man seeking out the help of a cursebreaker. What he gets might be worth more than what he asked for...

    On and on it goes

Remy is definitely deeply traumatized and masking it well. The question is, how long can he keep this up? Especially now that Anduin is pushing... Totally understandable. (To think that he was just supposed to be some filler background character............) ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป
  12. Remy was confused when he opened his eyes, downright disoriented, and he was shaking uncontrollably. "Shh, it's okay, I got you, it's just a dream," Marc whispered, his arms wrapped tightly around him. "Shh, Remy, shh..." He seemed to have been saying this for a while. "Marc..." Remy almost choked on the one word, struggling equally against the blanket and Marc's arms to get into a more comfortable position to look at him. "Hey..." Marc said softly. He had turned on Remy's bedside
  13. Not all cases have a complicated-around-three-corners-solution. And a duel with the intension to get rid of the rival... is still murder ๐Ÿ˜Ž I like the thought, but I need a why. ๐Ÿค” โค๏ธ
  14. ~The Cursebreaker~ The blood shield protecting the grounds of the Watermill Circle had a gentle deflecting - not to say deterring - effect on humans. Those who possessed magic usually felt the effect less, or could even see the red-gold shimmer and flicker if they were close enough. Since enough witches of my bloodline had given their blood for that very shield, I could not only see it, but actually touch it without getting an electric shock and an angry voice hissing โ€˜fuck offโ€™

    Frank

His dreams regarding the future did not reach far. They didn't in the past and they didn't today. Anthony had dreamed a lot. When they had snuggled together in the much-too-big bed, they had fantasized in whispers about what it would be like to leave the farm and serve another family. Frank would be living with the Horners now. He probably would have been taught to work on machinery instead of working with wood. He would probably still have his fingers. Would Charles have abided b
