A sad story of love and regrets. You painted an excellent picture of the landscape in which to set this story. The stage is set. Where do we go from here?

Thank you for the joy of receiving this chapter. George, performed like a champ in the face of meeting yet another scheming, awful, entitled female. I like all of the expressed suggestions of her demise. The best being that she have a riding accident. For her to become a Nun would be too generous. Score another for George and I cannot wait to see how Cardona thanks him in the mentioned "lounging in a bath".

I agree with the above comments....a delightful twist of the developing tale. Lewis and Charles has the makings of a great book that I would love to read (hint, hint)!
