  1. Orion I took them on the grand tour of the building while Quinn was printing out the documents and Tanner went out grocery shopping. Jules was very interested in my two boats and the larger ones that I had here. I was going to take them out to one of the platforms to see that later in the week. We were in my office showing them the maps and the platforms we had control of, as well as all the dive spots we use. We were going to take them out to dinner tonight just to drive them around Galve

    Chapter 30

It's been a long time since I have been there, and I am trying to remember the good there used to be. Like you said. @centexhairysub There used to be a lot of mentor/mentee types. Once upon a time when I and my partner, at that time, were thinking of buying a guest house, several people came out of the woodwork up there to help us and provide information. In the end I couldn't make the numbers work without coming in with the cash to buy the location out right as everything on the market needed major work and refurbishment. Then they were getting hit with labor issues. In the P-Town story of Jules and part of this one. The labor issues are addressed in a way that I would have if I had the funds to make it happen at that time. I am sure there are new codes that would make it almost impossible to do now. I do admit. There was one cute little place that was falling down. The property was large enough for a building three times the size. When the one owner of a large B&B up there told me about the renovation regulations... I ran. Not walked, RAN to the town hall to check for myself. Sure enough. If you leave one wall up. It's only a renovation, not a new build... Much less regulation and permits for a renovation. I am sure that code has been demolished. But that little place. Leave the front wall. Demolish the rest. Add to the basement. Build the new three-story building behind the old wall by four feet. Connect the old wall to the new building with 4-foot walls and roof. Add a recessed main doorway about two feet indented into the old wall. Walla. New guest house purpose built and designed as such. Done as a renovation. Even the town said I could do that when I asked. But I couldn't justify 500 grand for a place that needed a bulldozer and complete rebuild. I'ld rather spend the million for exactly what I want. OK. I'll stop myself from rambling on about the good old days.

    Chapter 30

Yeah, I always enjoyed it. There was a good Mexican joint in a house down towards Surfside Hotel that I used to like too...Always needed reservations days in advance. Don't remember the name and can't seem to find it on google maps. It has been almost twenty years since I have been there.
  4. Tanner Putting my phone back in my pocket, I grabbed Ryan as I monitored Orion. The two groups were taunting each other as they worked. Getting Ryan to do as Quinn asked and stay away from Orion. He looked confused at first, but I told him to trust me. I would explain later. Unfortunately, my back was turned. Jules jogged over while Orion’s back was turned and grabbed the bottom of his shirt. Lifting over his head before he could protest, running away. I took off in a run and got bet
  5. I miss Momus! 😁
  6. It was a short night for us. I awoke tangled with Adam as he tried to get up for our morning routine. I checked my Link. The smile creeped up my face as I read the message from Ron. The Governor’s Fleet had arrived and was waiting in our parking area as we walked down to the beach. Adam held me in the water again as the shuttle lifted off for the ship. He looked over at me. “Where is the shuttle going?” “Taking the Marines back to the ship. Another two squads will return as the first
  7. Previously in the bathing room: Turning to Jules, I reached out and cupped the side of his face. My thumb gently rubbed his cheek. He spent a minute looking into my eyes before he reached forward and placed his hands around my waist as he closed the distance between us. His cock was just as hard as mine. My hand slipped around to the nape of his neck and pulled his head in until our lips met. The kiss started slow. Light brushes against each other, gentle tugs on each other's lips before it

LOL!... First book. Only mentioned in passing. Cafeteria scene and the third book with Sasha. Same: a cafeteria scene.

Just to be clear... I was laughing my ass of when I added that in during editing. 🤣😈

    Chapter 28

It only gets covered in broad terms here because Jules and his family are from a different story. I needed something to happen in Provincetown and Jules was picked out of the hat. 😇
  11. I was still working on reports when Adam said it was time and I shutdown the tablet to walk, arm around his waist, over to the landing pad. Our shuttle was on its way up to the pickup point for later to bring back the Marines. We had Mike go up and pick up two other marines for the same problem as Taylor. They just didn’t react as fast. I was watching them float in on final with Adam when he spoke with a sad softness that I also felt. “The end of peace and quiet this way comes.” I laughed
  12. Commercial Street Provincetown The guy on the bike swerved several times around pedestrians and cars racing down Commercial Street waving at several people as he went. He shot up Arch Street and crossed Bradford onto Conwell. Pumping hard as he pedaled up the hill before swinging to the right onto Harry Kemp Way. He relaxed and let the bike coast as he rested before adding power to the pedals again. Minutes later, the brakes squeaked a little as he applied them before coasting to the inters

    Chapter 29

Wormholes... Never worked them out, just used them to create scenes and bring in new items I need a hiding place for. Since space is large and you need special scanning equipment to find them. They are hard to find. Possibly some past race or older race can create them. Humans can't. Are there other areas of the galaxy. Of that, I am sure. Will they be created. Someday. But not at this time. This world has enough life for 40 or 50 books with the main characters and their family. Off shoots of probably another 40 books. Will they ever be written? I honestly don't know. There is always the possibility of a major war breaking out and everyone dies. Or possibly Marc truly does disappear for more adventures on the other side of the universe... one just never knows, when my fingers start tapping, where the story goes... not even me. 😉

    Chapter 27

Just looked Herring Cove Beach. 😲 I didn't even know that was there. I always went to Race Point. Damn. And here I thought senility was only starting now, when it really started 20 years ago... That's worse than the midlife crisis!

    Chapter 27

I didn't know that myself. I've done very limited diving on the East Coast. Mostly in Florida and the Bahamas before I stopped.
  16. It was a late-night last night with me holding Ryan as he told us what was happening. How he came to acquire those scars which turned out to be from a leather belt. He sobbed at one point until he fell asleep. Quinn, Tanner, and I continued our discussion and had a few ideas. I had to make some calls today and talk to my law team as well as my accountant. Luckily he rolled during the night and I was able to get out of bed without moving him as it was 7 am, East Coast Time. I wouldn’t be up that
  17. Bridge Phoenix Rising “Apparently the Admiral has finished lunch, Captain.” She looked at her First Officer. “I think he knows our problems now, and this is more direct to the point instead of general.” He nodded. “Yes. We could’ve done better.” She smiled. “Possibly. If the Admiral had thought so, you can believe he would have told us. He’s been on ships since he was in diapers. He understands we are a new crew and a new ship. He is both teaching and learning at the same

Funny you should mention that... I had trouble finding it myself!

    Chapter 28

That's Marc and Adam joking with each other. Very few children are carried by the mother anymore. It is all done with birthing chambers. It's explained in detail over the next 13 chapters. Building up the science and process behind seeding the genetic mix for the children. Starting with ch29 and the discussions in that chapter with their parents.😉
  20. Naughty herbivore. Touching what isn't his without permission... I wonder if he learned a lesson. 😈 I wonder what he saw... If he can not only see memories, but possible futures as well. Along the line of the latter, I'm thinking he saw Richter in battle causing the deaths of many enemies. Another great chapter!

    Chapter 28

Consider the Private Reserves as private land. The no trespassing signs are up. No one enters without permission.
  22. In June we were on the chartered jet headed to Barnstable, Massachusetts. We were going to fly straight into Provincetown itself, but they didn’t have enough runway length for the aircraft we had to use. Sadly enough. We also needed a rental car. That meant Barnstable was where we were headed. We could be up in Provincetown in an hour as long as we don’t stop on the way up to check out the shops. Quinn gave me the look as we piled into the BMW. I just shrugged. “Had little choice, and I di

  24. Adam was listening in on my Comm’s to the Department Heads of the Alexander-Knight House. It was very enlightening for him to see what I was handling every day since the fleet’s actions stopped. We worked out what we were going to say and do during our walk through the Station. Then we took time to walk along the beach and every one of our Marines was there enjoying the sun and water together. They made it a point to say hello to us as we watched them interact with each other. Adam invited our t

Closed environments. No matter how much recirculation and filtering, smells will always permeate the spaces. In this case, the station does large amounts of machinery work that ends up producing burnt oil smells. Not much different than walking into a machine shop. Even walking into a person's home you would be able to detect a scent, unique to them. This is just a heavier scent that can be smelled throughout the station. Very heavy filtration could remove it, but that costs credits, therefore a loss of profits. For a realistic example, take a deep breath the next time you board an aircraft. Same principle. Years ago, when you could smoke onboard, you would eventually smell it throughout the entire aircraft.
