    Christmas has come and gone. Emotional was the word for it. We had many people over for a farewell party. Lots of tears and hugs to go with the well wishes.     Interesting account of the battle. Richter did offer surrender multiple times and they refused. A glimpse of Luther's caring attitude towards Richter with Richter tossing away his boundaries to be held by him. Another good chapter bringing out more of Richter's life history.

    @wenmale64 I'm not sure if you are the first to recognize it, but you are the first person to point it out. You are correct about PTSD. Something that, unfortunately, many of us with prior military service are afflicted with. It shows up occasionally in my writings as large amounts of my inspiration for this series comes from my military service time. Even now, 34 years later, it still hits me on occasion.
