“The Geography of After”
austinbiguy commented on CasualWanderer82's story chapter in “The Geography of After”
I love Alec's character. His affection for his Danny is evident as is his lust/love for Nora. He is the perfect friend for Daniel. -
"Melancholia (Part 2)"
austinbiguy commented on CasualWanderer82's story chapter in "Melancholia (Part 2)"
I loved the way this chapter flowed from one man in Daniel's life to another. Nora locks a door and Daniel is released. -

Ah I love that you see something beyond the end of their story. So do I. I like Evan by the way. I'll keep my passion in check in the future (/s). May I please be excused from the woodshed? I've had sufficient. -
"Melancholia" (Part 1)
austinbiguy commented on CasualWanderer82's story chapter in "Melancholia" (Part 1)
If you say so. Don't forget what we learned in The Boy from Nothing. Lots of mantras in this story. Don't know why you would think I forgot one of them, or how locks relate to Blake and Jackson. Blake is the road and Jackson is home. My comment was meant to be lighthearted. @CasualWanderer82 should know that I am one of his biggest fans, and I won't apologize for loving one of his characters. Maybe I'm a man who came from nothing, but I feel empathy for Blake. -

Team Dylan. How many of us get into a deep relationship with their teenage crush? Hard to pass that by. -

I am still working on forgiving you for leaving Buckley with the radio clown at the end of Down in the Holler instead of his angel boy. I was happy to get a notice that you'd added a chapter to this interesting story. You do like the name Nora don't you. We shall see if she escapes her Doll's House and Daniel can free himself to be himself. As always, interesting material. Glad to see you back in action. -
"It's A Pleasure To Finally Meet You, Daniel."
austinbiguy commented on CasualWanderer82's story chapter in "It's A Pleasure To Finally Meet You, Daniel."
Wow! This chapter is so hot! I don't want that to be the end of Malik and Daniel. Nora--be careful what you ask for! There is another man in the bed, and his name is Daniel. -
"Happy Birthday, Nora"
austinbiguy commented on CasualWanderer82's story chapter in "Happy Birthday, Nora"
I loved the twist on the stereotypical cuckold story. The one where the bull bangs the wife in front of the hubby who could not please her. I am surprised and delighted that I even read this story. After the ending of Down in the Holler with the boy leaving his bull, I promised myself I would no longer check for CW;s new chapters, so, ironically, I read a bunch of cuckold stories. Most ending with the wife addicted to cock and humiliating the too faithful hubby. So I did not do a good job of breaking my @CasualWanderer82 addiction. I peaked. I can't wait for my next installment. My name is Alex, and I am a CW addict. -
I fell in love with Blake and Jackson I have such empathy for him, and the Boy Made of Quiet is a masterpiece. I cried at the end and was so pleased to see Jackson and Blake letting Cash into their love. Thank you, @CasualWanderer82, for some of the hottest 3way sex scenes I have ever read. After all the heat and tenderness of Atonement 3, I was left aghast in 17 Seconds as to why and when Jackson came to that decision. Feels like Blake has lost the competition and the most beautiful thing God ever set in front of him. I love both Cash and Blake. From the last chapter during the Sunday 9 o'clock call, I could feel their sadness. In their pauses and periods of silence, so much is left unsaid but the emotion is still there. Evan is no Jackson. Cash's putting a roof on the house is not going to contain the kind of love I thought Jacks had for Blake. Although Evan is a good character, he lacks the depth to really empathize with the boy made of quiet (Although I am sure the sex is great.) Despite my ache, I love this story. I have read chapters over, many times reading sentences out loud, just to hear their rhythm and see the images you invoke. You are and will be my favorite erotic author for as long as you write. I'm sure I will get over this feeling of despondence I am left with. In the meantime I will reread the chapters I love. This story caught me by surprise, and I am happy it did. But the ending left me in mourning.

"Atonement (Part 2)"
austinbiguy commented on CasualWanderer82's story chapter in "Atonement (Part 2)"
Stupendous chapter. We get to see the interactions between Cash and Jackson--humorous, touching, and heartfelt at once in @CasualWanderer82's poetic narrative. I read a sentence that makes me stop on my journey and pay attention to the beauty in the sentence and all around it. Then we take a step back in time as Jackson sees Blake's father and his childhood home. Our author takes us back into the past and all that happened in the moment, like a waltz through time--bringing Blake back to us and, more importantly, to Jackson. And just like that, they are together again, with Cash having experienced an epiphany about Blake and opens up his empathy. So many sad childhoods, so many broken children, and CW creates a community for heartbroken people who truly know what it means to give love and receive love. I almost said Amen at the end. CW took us all to church in this chapter.- 21 comments

Another great chapter. Cannot wait for the next one. -
Still. Here. As a fan, I am so glad to have made the journey. The way you told the story of a small community was so compelling. George Eliot's Middlemarch and Charles Dickens' Our Mutual Friend comes to mind where every level in the community is included. You are brilliant with your aphorisms. and this chapter is a gold mine for phrase hunters. The third man was thin and tan and unimportant. To anyone who hadn't woken in a hospital with bruises mapping a night shaped by cruelty. That third man triggers a reaction in Weston, and I have a hunch he might be involved in the attack on Weston. Thanks for so many interesting side characters and stories. This chapter is on the top shelf for you Brother Wanderer!

"The Cookout (Part 2)"
austinbiguy commented on CasualWanderer82's story chapter in "The Cookout (Part 2)"
The American South has experienced many told and untold stories of same sex love. I wish CasualWanderer could tell them all. Then folks would know, men here are like men everywhere. Only maybe they sweat more. -
"The Cookout (Part 2)"
austinbiguy commented on CasualWanderer82's story chapter in "The Cookout (Part 2)"
The end of the last chapter found Blake in a state similar to this one described by Matthew Arnold: “Wandering between two worlds, one dead The other powerless to be born, With nowhere yet to rest my head Like these, on earth I wait forlorn. For Blake the world he knew is surely dead, but he is not yet part of Jackson's community. But he longs for the light in the deepest part of his soul. After having been awakened by the gentle fingertips of his golden-haired preacher's boy and nurturing that inside all these years in silence. now is his moment of truth. Will Blake go towards the light? At the edge of it all, Blake leaned against one of the porch posts, watching the whole thing unfold, this explosion of life, this place he didn't belong to but couldn't seem to walk away from. He'd never seen anything like it. Not in all his miles, not in all the towns that blurred together. The way people looked out for each other here, not always kindly, not always right, but always, left something raw and soft in his chest. And then there was Jackson. That laugh, that magnetism. That way he could light up a patch of grass just by stepping into it. Blake took a long pull from his beer and let Daisy's words echo through his head. "If you're gonna love him...do it in the light." His attraction to Jackson is deep and spiritual as well as physical. (Perhaps that deep spirituality and sensitivity longing to be born is one reason angelic Jackson finds Blake so magnetic (that and his big belt buckle). To reach for Jackson in the daylight of this cookout is to reach for the life he has silently longed for and nurtured as his inner life. He [Jackson] was real. And Blake had spent a lifetime avoiding real. Jackson was kind without performing it. Steady without realizing it. Confident, sure, but not cruel about it. It came from somewhere deeper. From the purest kind of empathy. The kind Blake had never learned how to carry. What the hell am I doin', Blake thought? This wasn't just desire anymore. It wasn't just heat and secrecy. Watching Jackson move through the world like he made it better just by walking through it, did something to Blake's chest. A slow, terrible cracking. A warmth that wasn't fire or shame, but something softer. He looked down at his hands and thought of all the years they'd spent closed into fists. All the things they'd built and broken. All the nights they'd curled into strangers' skins and left before the light came. Blake had been drifting for as long as he could remember. Town to town. Arena to arena. One motel mirror to the next. Letting no one touch him where it counted. Letting no one see him. Not really. But Jackson had looked at him like he'd always been there. Like Blake wasn't just a man passing through, but a man worth knowing. "If you're gonna love him...do it in the light." But coming out for Jackson is an act of courage for him. That terrified Blake more than anything else ever had. Because he didn't know how to live in the light. Not without flinching. Not without hiding a piece of himself behind a closed door or a quick goodbye. But watching Jackson surrounded by people, laughing, radiant, good, buckled something in Blake. And that's when he moved. We celebrate Blake's moment and pray that Weston will be saved. There's a bad actor out there in Willow Creek not at the cookout. Hope Cash beats the living daylights out of him, bless his heart! -

You have outdone yourself in this chapter--giving us the whole background in carefully chosen words and scenes. Blake Buckley is now understandable, and worthy of love. If he will only take the risk . . .- 10 comments

"Ride That Bull, Jackson!"
austinbiguy commented on CasualWanderer82's story chapter in "Ride That Bull, Jackson!"
They felt passion and they felt love. And we got a trailer-rocking erotic scene laced with beautiful writing. In the CW universe, in the next chapter, Jackson could have his heart broken by the sexy cowboy. Or not. Stay tuned! I am making no predictions. Oh, and welcome back, @CasualWanderer82. I've missed your prose. -

I am also concerned. Maybe he will respond to one of our comments. -
Dylan and Troy have an undeniable chemistry that was beautifully shown in this story. Dylan needs to give himself physically and completely to someone, and Troy so far is that someone. I know some of us are cheering on Elliot. I, on the other hand, have been Team Troylan from the first chapter. I love this story.

Who can not love that brave, loyal man who never got to be a boy. I too look forward to whichever character Casualwanderer82 matches him up and I have my eye on Weston. Hopefully CW does not kill him off before his happiness!!! (knocking on peckerwood, CW, stay away from Cash's demise, however noble it might be.) -

"Hands In The Dark"
austinbiguy commented on CasualWanderer82's story chapter in "Hands In The Dark"
I was unprepared for the rush of memories for me, being from the deep south and living adjacent to what others would call poor white trash, like Cash's family. The names and faces of the children who were beaten at different times and how we all accepted that their beatings were a way of life. Spare the rod; spoil the child. It was hard for me to be around those innocent boys and girls with their shabby clothes and hungry bellies without being overwhelmed by empathy and anger, but helpless to do anything about it. My own father had his own rage and a big belt, but his rages were not as savage or as frequent as Vernon's (Lord knows one or two of those awful daddies was named Vernon.) Behind every beaten child was a bruised mother. This chapter brought them back to life, and with that, all the pain of innocents suffering at the hands of brutes. I am sure it still happens. My children were not raised in the same environment as mine. Poor "white trash" would be a label they would hear but not someone they sat next to at school, or watched go hungry at lunch. In some ways, I wish they did know; there might be more compassion for those that never had and may never have what they have and take for granted. Such a beautiful chapter about friendship, family, and protecting others from real harm. I love the way @CasualWanderer82 shows Jackson and Daisy bonding in aiding Cash and his family! Excuse me while I whip up a batch of cornbread and brew some sweet tea. My roots are showing! -
"The Book Of Disquiet"

I agree 100% this has been a journey from hopelessness through hope to some kind of calm. I was most happy that we ended with Adrian. Everyone is worthy of redemption. Nice touch with August! I will also need time to reread and absorb more from this awesome chapter.- 17 comments
