  1. I agree with bwstories8.
  2. However, J.K. Rowling DOES own the copyright. If she and her lawyers say take it down, then it should come down. Thankfully I have not received such a notice. I also have my story posted in "obvious" forums such as Gay Authors.
  3. James Earl Jones will be reprising his role as the voice of Darth Vader for Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith.
  4. I never said it was easy, just that you could do it.
  5. Pity. They only made it for Internet Explorer. Lazy company. Myr can change the default settings of the board so it will display larger.
  6. I haven't gotten that per se but I'm sure the sentiment is there.
  7. It was quiet, too quiet. The kind of quiet that made me think of Susan. The kind of blond that would make a bishop kick in a stained glass window.
  8. Unfortunately going to a 4 year institution would mean I would have to give up full time employment. I'm not yet ready to incur such massive debt after being debt free for the past year and a half.
  9. Hey guys, Myr has added my site to the top sites list. Check out the new features and rate my site.
  10. If the SysAdmin set .txt as an extension that the webserver is supposed to parse as HTML, you'll get that. Why the SysAdmin has it set that way I'll never guess.
  11. Oh that was exactly what I did. It was quite obvious to me that this was a fraud and even if I were a U.S. Bank customer I would have spotted it a mile away, but these assholes are getting shiftier and I tell you, with the exception of the wording, the page looked DAMNED close to the U.S. Bank site. As someone who works in the IT field, specifically web, I know how easy that is to pull off but usually there are just enough major differences to tell. This time, the only significant difference was the links. Everyone was exactly the same and to a re-direct script. Had the content been more subtle and had I actually been a memeber, it would have been hard to spot. For that reason, I always double check the full headers and the code behind the e-mail, just to be sure.
  12. Hard to be for or against anything that was far before my time. Far before yours too, I might add. Let's stick with events that we have lived through. Frankly, I'm surprised at your attitude. Bush used 9/11 to further a personal vendetta. How insulting is that? And yes, Gentim, a lot of good came as a result of the war against Iraq. I'm not disputing that, I'm disputing the way the situation with Osama and his freaks has been managed. It was tabled in favor for Bush to say he got one back for dear old dad.
  13. 9/11 may have changed the perspective, but common sense would dictate that the actual culprit of 9/11 be dealt with instead of someone who had nothing to do with it. Bush threw a token offensive in response then with typical politico flare redirected the attention to Saddam just so he'd have an excuse to carry out a personal grudge. Granted, Saddam deserves every last pain life can throw at him but Osama should have been dealt with first, foremost and completely before we went after Saddam.
  14. I know there are a lot of false alarms about e-mail frauds but I know this is legitimate cause I just got one... and I'm not even a customer!!! I got an e-mail that said I should follow this link and update all my personal information otherwise my account would be closed. Now even if I was a customer I would still find this suspect so I read the source and it came from some bullshit yahoo address. Plus every last link was a to the same redirect script. Whoever put this together tried very hard to copy the US bank website to give it a more legitimate feel. I just got off the phone with one of the people whose responsible for dealing with these things and she had me forward the e-mail. This may be old and it just got to me, or it may be new and I was one of the first, but either way,be careful. No banking institution would have you change/update all your personal information this way and they certainly would not close your account. Just thought I'd give fair warning.
  15. Classic!
  16. Gods I have to show that to my Math teacher. She'll love it!
  17. I'm hip to that, brother. My next quarter starts up in a month and a half away. I don't know if I'll get chapter 15 done by then. Hope so otherwise it won't get done until 2005 most likely.
  18. You can view it here: https://www.gayauthors.org/archive/redir.php?id=232 Enjoy!
  19. It's not PHP that causes the problems but the programmers who screwed up writing the code, hence Myr had to fix it.
  20. It's my birthday? How old am I?
  21. Working on it. still have one more section to go but I've been sidelined by IRL issues. It'll be done before summer's end. glad you like it, btw.
  22. Interesting. Too bad WB stopped carrying it a couple years back. I don't have cable so I had missed about 80% of the shows worth watching.
  23. Okay, I've been looking through the various votes and have been seeing averages like 8.3 and 9.2, but when I look at the amount of reviews and the ratings of each review, the math just does not add up. Myr's story Parlament of Dreams currently has a score of 9.2 when really it should be 9.75 Take 39 and divide it by 40 you get .975 which is 97.5% or 9.75 out of 10. Ditto with rooftop encounter. The score should be 9, not 8.3. What gives? is it using some sort of logarithim where the lower the score the harsher it effects the average? Just curious.
