It's wild to think that these boys were completely anonymous in October and now they're carrying the Olympic torch and meeting the Canadian prime minister.

Chapter 10 -When Will and Travis go riding, and then talk. "Better Together" by Jack Johnson -When John and Ryan start singing the Beatles. "Drive My Car" by the Beatles I still vote we should have a guest chapter from the two of them. You know dam well they got some crazy shit going on.

Yeah. I'm still here because somehow, some way, Mark Arbour has managed to keep the CAP saga going for 17 years. Although even then, the discussion has mostly migrated to the chapter comments and not so much on the forum. I'm trying to convince him to rewrite one of his CAP stories centered around college club hockey into a stand alone erotica to try and capitalize on the whole hockey romance craze.

Faces for Mark's Stories
methodwriter85 replied to methodwriter85's topic in Mark Arbour Fan Club's Topics
Erin Moriarty's original, pre-plastic surgery face would have made her a pretty good Marie Hobart fancast, in my opinion. (Although I still think Blue nailed it with Taissa Farmiga.) God, it's a shame she bowed to Hollywood pressure, but then again, I don't think there's a single actor in Hollywood who has a natural face anymore. (Poor Bradley Cooper.) -
When Travis was first introduced, I thought he WAS meant to be a normal, low-drama teen and Will was finally getting a normal, stable relationship.
-
Not a Travis fan? I I figured Mark had largely won people over onto Travis's side but you can't please everyone. I still remember a reader making comments about how Travis seemed "off", like stage 5 clinger off. Lol

You really make me glad sometimes I've never been in the glamorous circles of West Hollywood, because damn it sounds like it's filled with sharks.

This is, to the best of my knowledge, the ages of CAP characters, which is currently set on May 23, 2005.) I'm going to try to make this as extensive as I can possibly get given how characters can kind of just pop up) Jim Crampton- 80 years old (he's the oldest living CAP character, right?) J.P. Crampton- 68 years old (turning 69 next month) Isidore and Frank should be J.P.'s age, so about 68/69 I'm assuming Alexandra Carmichael is somewhere in her mid-60's. Slightly younger than JP, Isidore, and Frank but not by that much. She had to be old enough that she could have kids in the late 1950's. Mark can contradict me on this but I'm assuming that Matt's adoptive parents are in their mid-60's. We can probably assume Mr. and Mrs. Carrswold were probably hitting their early 40's when they adopted Matt in 1980 when they realized having a child wasn't going to happen. Stefan Schluter- 59 years old (turning 60 in July 2005) La Danfield- I'm going to guess she's about 55 years old. That would have made her in her early 30's when she popped out her 3 children in rapid succession in the early 1980's. Nick Schluter was described as being a teenager in 1973 so we can assume he's probably late 40's to early 50's in May 2005 Richard Crampton is probably the same age as Nick Schluter, so I'd guess late 40's to early 50's as well. Brad's older biological brother is probably mid/late 40's. Joaquin- The 13-year old Mexican boy that gets helped in The Land Whore and is later revealed to be somewhat of a Mexican Don by If It Fits in 1995. So if Joaquin was 13 in/around 1974, he should be mid-40's in 2005. Brad Schluter- 42 years old (turning 43 in October) Ace Clearrault- 42 years old Scott- Probably about 42 years old Claire Hobart (possibly going back to Crampton?)- 40 years old (turning 41 in October) Jake Pike- I believe we set his birth year to either 1968 or 1969, so he should be about 36 to 37. Marcel- 36 (I believe Lou is also supposed to be 36, but I don't think that was a firm age.) Cody- 35 (I think we set Cody's birthday as being September 9, 1969 but I'm not sure how firm that was.) Tiffany- I don't think we were ever that specific about her age, but I'm assuming she was somewhere in the ball park of having been born from about 1977 to 1980. I'd also put Sergio/Kevin and Patrick Christian somewhere in this ballpark. So let's say about 25 to maybe 28 for all three of them. John Carullo- If this is wrong, please correct me, but I believe Mark set Carullo as having graduated college in 2001, which made him a year ahead of Matt and Wade. He had moved to New York City in the summer of 2001 and fell in love with a firefight named Joey, who died in 9/11. So Carullo is likely 26? It might have been a year earlier than that, so Carullo could be 27. So I'm going with 26-27, or a 1978-1979 birth year. I can't remember if Carullo graduated from college in 2000 or 2001. Kris- We set him as having graduated high school in 1998, so he should be 25. Alejandro- He was described as 15 in If It Fits, which was set in 1995, so he should be 25 now. He is Joaquin's son and got sent to America because his father was concerned that his effeminacy would get him killed in Mexico. Matt Carrswold- 25 Wade Danfield- 25 The bulk of the Stanford Hockey teammates like Jeff Grimes- We can assume they're all about 23-27 now. Mary Ellen Danfield- I would say 24. I could be wrong (and if anyone wants to dig around to either prove or disprove it), but I believe La Danfield shot out her kids back to back to back; 3 kids in 3 years. I know the birth order is definitely Wade, Mary Ellen, and then Beau. He Who Shall Not Be Named- He was supposed to be about Darius's age so we can assume 23. Beau Danfield- I could be wrong, but I swore he was about Darius's age. So 23, maybe 22 if his birthday is later in 2005. Darius Schluter- 23 Gathan Hayes- 22 (turning 23 in July) Kristin Hendrickson- 22 Ella Hayes- 21 Zach Hayes- Turning 20 in a few days. Not like Will is going to give a shit, though. (Maybe in a few years they can really be friends again?) Jeremy Schluter- 19 Marie Hobart- 19 Travis Buck- 19 Ethan Danfield (Wade's paternal half brother)- 18 or 19. I believe he was a 1986 birth as I remember him being Jeremy/Marie/Will's age when we met him. Will Schluter- 18 (turning 19 in September) John Hobart- 17 (turning 18 in July) Courtney Clearrault (Ace's daughter)- 9 (turning 10 in September) Riley and Maddie- 4 years old (turning 5 in September) Robbie- 2 years old Freddie (Mary Ellen and Alex's son) - Turning 2 next month And the youngest CAP character should be Jessica's baby with Jackson. I can't remember if she gave birth yet, but it should be soon if she was pregnant in December and it's now May. At the very least rounding the last trimester. (Don't think it's really needed to see that character's birth in my opinion given how little regard Jessica seems to have for the Golden Child.) There's also just a ton of characters where the age has been vague. Which is a good thing, because Mark can always pluck a stray Hendrickson, Carmichael, Crampton, Hayes, etc when he needs a character of a certain age that can interact with another character.

Okay, I just realized I haven't done my "how old are CAP characters now?" deal in awhile. So let's recap ages as of May 23, 2005! Holy crap, Matt, I didn't know you were still even on this site. Now if I can just manifest JWolf and Blue...

I had the same reaction to the gay group at University of Delaware. Then again, I was in drama, so a gay group was redundant for me. LOL

Chapter 8 -When Kendra and Jackson make out, and Jackson tries to take it farther than Kendra wants him to. "Don't Tell Me" by Avril Lavigne -When Kendra and Jackson walk into the school, holding hands; proudly defying the school's prescribed social order. "Where Does the Good Go?" by Tegan and Sara

As an aside, you seriously seemed to have bypassed the whole Heated Rivalry craze. I am sincerely shocked. Hot gay hockey players seem right up your alley. I mean, I haven't actually watched the show, either, because I don't have HBO Max, but following the memes, reactions, fan edits, and thirst traps from the cast has been great.
-
I'm seriously surprised Mark Arbour hasn't watched this yet.

We do that in Delaware, but that's mostly because, for the most part, there's a good chance you might know someone they know being that Delaware is a state of just over one million people. Bus desegregation in Delaware created a system where the traditional public school system (in northern Delaware) went down a toilet and pretty much any one is advised to either send their kid to a private school or a charter/magnet school if you can't afford private. A lot of times though we'll tell people to live just over the state line in places like Avondale or Doylestown or whatever. You don't really have community schools that an entire town rallies around because people kind of just come all over.
-
It's really funny to imagine that the people in Will's life don't actually worship him, but are afraid he's going to wish them into the cornfield.

My head cannon for Kendo is that he's a BENNY who comes from a shady Catholic Italian (or Mexican?) family who are all a bunch of flashy, desperate social climbers. (Think Real Housewives of New Jersey or Jersey Shore.) I think he got into the entertainment industry by appearing on various MTV shows, similar to how Hilarie Burton and Ryan Devlin started off as MTV hosts before having legitimate acting careers. So someone like Travis, who looks like Beautiful Old Money, would be like catnip to a desperate social climber like Kendo. Or hell, maybe Kendo actually comes from a humble, salt of the Earth MidWestern family from like Nebraska or something and he's just the black sheep of his otherwise nice family. Anything's possible.

You could not pay me to re-live the period from the month before my 28th birthday to the winter after my 29th birthday. Ever. The only positive thing about that time was watching the Hunger Games: Catching Fire, as well as mocking 50 Shades of Grey. I was rewarded with a pretty awesome 30's, though. I'd for the most part take my 30's over my 20's, save for the COVID era. Not being able to go out for New Year's while watching a woman sadly sing "Imagine" at Dick's Rocking New Year's Eve wasn't a fun way to ring in 2021. LOL

I really want to comment on this but every comment in my head sounds like a spoiler. Lol

Something tells me Private Tim would disagree at the concept of Will having high emotional maturity. LMAO
