Funny how schools vary so much. My college everyone pretty much left the dorms after freshman year. The only reason why I lived in a dorm as a junior was because I was a transfer. As this point I don't think UD even HAS graduate student housing now. They don't try to expand housing on campus despite the continually increasing enrollment (they'll replace the amount of beds but not expand it) because it's easier to just let the developers build up student apartments/townhouses around town. Then when I attended IUP it seemed like a much higher percentage of students stayed on campus instead of moving into apartments (if they weren't Greek as the school had a pretty big Greek row), probably because the surrounding town was much smaller and it was a much more isolated area.

Jeremy is basically Luke Hemsworth. LOL Imagine being stuck as a short guy with 2 brothers that both clear 6 feet. LOL (Darius is 6 foot even while Will is supposed to be 6'2". Poor JJ is stuck at 5'6.")

With the help of a nice woman that was very familiar with figure skating, I actually wrote out a career timeline for Jeremy that would have taken him out to the 2006 Torino Olympics. It was a lot of fun. I get why Mark yanked Jeremy's figure skating career in 2003, though. It really was time consuming, and it didn't really involve much of the family aside from Tiffany. It also allowed Mark to take Jeremy into his romcom New York City adventures, which has been fun. I think Jeremy was generally good about not head-casing. He won that because he was able to manage a clean skate while everyone else did a splat. He probably wouldn't have worked as well in 2020's figure skating because there is so much concentration on quads. I could see Jeremy as being similar to Jason Brown- lots of grace and panache but not actual power, and no real chance at the Worlds/Olympic podium. He might have been served by switching to ice dancing. If I remember right, Jeremy WAS trying to add a quad to his program, which ended in disaster and the end of his career. LOL Although it would be funny to picture Jeremy right on the cusp of a gold medal and fucking up this badly: I remember one Olympics where a figure skater was basically right on the cusp of a gold medal (I think Hanyu?) but he messed up and he got dropped to 2nd. The fact that Ilia messed up so badly that he wasn't even on the podium totally eclipsed that.

Chapter 15 -When Will glamorously drops almost 200k on a new car without a second thought. "Sussudio" by Phil Collins -When Travis is content with his trip up the coast with Will. "A Summer Song" by Chad and Jeremy I swear to god I always want to put 1960's/70's songs with Travis chapters. LOL -When Will and Travis enjoy themselves with Jeff and Cody. "Lay, Lady, Lay" by Bob Dylan

So in my job search to enter the legal field (either as a receptionist, a paralegal, legal assistant, etc etc) I had my resume redone by some nice paralegal lady I met in a Facebook group. Only I'm a little worried that she fluffed it up a bit too much. I'm trying to get it peer-reviewed on Facebook before I start posting it to Indeed. I've kind of taken a break the past couple of weeks from applying but I'm trying to get myself back into it. My goal is to at least get an interview before the one year anniversary of my graduation pops up- I'm already at 6 months. Yikes! It's been pretty frustrating although this time around, I have a job while I'm looking for one. It's not fun to look when you don't have one.

Where do you think those LA girls were from? I'm guessing wherever the aspiring actors of the 2010's go. I had a classmate from high school who tried to get into the business and lived in Burbank for a couple of years before she gave up. It's really funny that nowadays, you get actors telling you NOT to move to LA because you're better off getting signed to an LA agent but sending self tape from wherever you live. (And hey, check out my acting Zoom class!)

As much as Will is like Brad and aspires to be like JP, that's not really a line he's willing to cross.

I just say S.F. That feels fair. And then I think instead of Cali you're supposed to say Cal. Anyway, this is making me want to post my two all-time YouTube favorite videos about California. I'll do one NorCal and one SoCal. It's interesting to compare and contrast the stereotypes of the two videos to see what they say about the culture of their respective cities.

I guarantee at that age I would have described a hot 32-year old as a hot older guy.

This sounds like a closing argument in an acrimonious divorce battle. (Not that divorces ever actually go to trial, for the most part.) Although I would guess you could use that for a talking point during negotiations?

Oh, okay. Good. I was so confused for a moment. So we can imagine that Julian became a first-time father in his mid-40's from his mid-20's wife.

I used to talk to a guy who has a sexual relationship with a guy he's known since they were kids. They both are married to wives, and each has 2 teenaged sons. The wives have known about the sexual relationship since before marriage happened, and they encourage their husbands to be with each other because otherwise each guy just isn't fulfilled. These two men have a friendship that just needs to have a sexually intimate component to it. They've tried to not have it, and go back to being just platonic buds like they were for most of their adolescence, but they're so far beyond that it's impossible. About 15 years ago, when they were each in their early 30's, they had a bit of a crisis because one of them was talking online to an 18-year old and became infatuated. And the 18-year old at one point came close to visiting with him, and it really tore him up because he knew he could get the permission of both his wife and his bro-mance to engage in an affair with the young adult. But he made the decision to cut off contact with the 18-year old, because at the end of day, he felt like he couldn't honor the commitment he made to both his wife and his bro-mance if he had gone through with it. When this was all unfolding, I was about 25-26 years old, and I didn't quite get why "Aaron" couldn't go through with meeting up with "Ben" if "Alan" and "Colleen" would be okay and understanding of it. But now, I think I get it. Commitment is a personal thing that you have to work out within yourself and decide if you're meeting that commitment or not. I think both Travis and Will feel committed to each other by their own view of what commitment means.

That totally escaped me. No wonder Jackson always seems to refer to her as Lara and not "Mom." I just figured she had Jackson at like 18.

Don't change, Los Angeles. Don't change. "I've been married three times and I know this is it. I know it is." Well, yeah, you're nearly at the end of your life expectancy and she's going to be duking it out over inheritance with your son (who is her age) and daughter before she sees 50. Although to be fair, if Robby Benson ever showed any interest, I would so be there. Talk about a heartthrob that aged exceedingly well:
-
Ooh, I figured out Jackson's mother- Natascha McElhone from the Truman Show and Designated Survivor.

The fancast for Kendo is Nicholas Alexander Chavez. He's a soap star that recently broke into the big leagues by playing Lyle Menendez.

So West Coast of him. LOL Here on the East Coast we don't put "the" in front of the interstate/route number. So like I would say something like, "I'm going to take I-95 and then get off on 273 to hit the Dunkin' Donuts." However, we will still say "the" if it's a "named" road, usually if it's an expressway. So like you might say, "I'm going to take the Schuylkill Expressway."

Faces for Mark's Stories
methodwriter85 replied to methodwriter85's topic in Mark Arbour Fan Club's Topics
An alternative Kendo fancast...Costa D'Angelo? He's this Aussie actor I first noticed on Neighbours as an evil bad guy. Now he's starring in the third season of Hulu drama Tell Me Lies. Like Nicholas Alexander Chavez, he does "intense brooding" quite well. I feel like any Kendo fancast is someone that could have believably played Chuck on Gossip Girl if they had been the right age at the time Gossip Girl came out. I would say Tony's another possibility but I think Mark would tell me his features aren't masculine enough. LOL -
It's wild to think that these boys were completely anonymous in October and now they're carrying the Olympic torch and meeting the Canadian prime minister.

Chapter 10 -When Will and Travis go riding, and then talk. "Better Together" by Jack Johnson -When John and Ryan start singing the Beatles. "Drive My Car" by the Beatles I still vote we should have a guest chapter from the two of them. You know dam well they got some crazy shit going on.

Yeah. I'm still here because somehow, some way, Mark Arbour has managed to keep the CAP saga going for 17 years. Although even then, the discussion has mostly migrated to the chapter comments and not so much on the forum. I'm trying to convince him to rewrite one of his CAP stories centered around college club hockey into a stand alone erotica to try and capitalize on the whole hockey romance craze.

Faces for Mark's Stories
methodwriter85 replied to methodwriter85's topic in Mark Arbour Fan Club's Topics
Erin Moriarty's original, pre-plastic surgery face would have made her a pretty good Marie Hobart fancast, in my opinion. (Although I still think Blue nailed it with Taissa Farmiga.) God, it's a shame she bowed to Hollywood pressure, but then again, I don't think there's a single actor in Hollywood who has a natural face anymore. (Poor Bradley Cooper.) -
When Travis was first introduced, I thought he WAS meant to be a normal, low-drama teen and Will was finally getting a normal, stable relationship.
-
Not a Travis fan? I I figured Mark had largely won people over onto Travis's side but you can't please everyone. I still remember a reader making comments about how Travis seemed "off", like stage 5 clinger off. Lol
