  1. OK, Bill, I understand ... I am glad that you didn't forget about us. Boy on a String
  2. Hey, Bill ... You said you were going to do a book 9. But your site still has book 8 as the new book. What is up ... how long?? I keep looking ... every day ... need something to read. Boy on a String
  3. (Boy on a String paces around room ... waiting and checking ... Looks at watch ... paces more .... Still no book 9) Hey, Bill .... how much longer??? Boy on a String And, Reader?? I resemble that remark ...
  4. (boy on a string tapping foot, looks at watch ... taps foot some more ... looks at watch, still no book 9 ...) Hey, Bill. I hope you do one of two things ... either write book 9, and end it like you did with book 1, if you don't want to write more, or add one or two (five might be nicer) chapters to wrap up the loose ends of book 8. It really isn't fair for you to leave that kind of cliff hanger. I also wonder what kind of feedback you get from nifty, where you also post the story, and how many of them don't or haven't been to your site, so they haven't read/started book 8 yet?? Please wrap up the current questions about Andrew, Sammy, and Jesse ... it is the least you can do for your loyal readers ... Boy on a String
  5. Bill, that is the problem. The government has promoted this safe sex thing through condums, either ignoring or burying the facts ... one in three condoms have holes big enough to leak the hiv virus. One in ten condoms have holes big enough to impregnate a female partner. And any VD that requires genital contact to spread can be spread even though a man/boy is wearing condums because they don't cover/protect the scrotum. Boy on a String
  6. Hmmm, Bill. I know that herpis can be spread from the scrotum, and that the scrotum is part of the genitals. It is conjecture on my part that general warts could be spread that way because of the fact that you have a part of the genitals touching another part of the genitals ... whether that be a scrotum or a vagina. Nick did have warts on his scrotum, so this is an affected area. You have yet to say how they could be spread in your story, and I was unaware that oral sex would spread them to a persons mouth ... so oral sex is out (unless someone likes sucking on latex). I will try to find out some more information. Boy on a String
  7. Hi, Bill. I have been reading your story, Castaway Hotel. I do like the story, but I do have a problem with it. Nick has contracted genital warts. In chapter 11, you state -
  8. Hey, Bill .... have you started book 8 yet??? (Im a little irked because of the way you ended book 7 ...) (Boy on a String sits at computer desk tapping his fingers against the keyboard) Well??? Boy on a String
  9. Does anyone know when the next chapter of POD 29 will be out??? Has any one seen Myr??? ... maybe if we light a fire under his chair would help him ??? Boy on a String
  10. Hey, Myr ... while you are at it, could you ask him about the next chapter of re-emergence as well?? Thanks Boy on a string And I agree about posting the link ... if you remember it, of course ... LOL
  11. Hey, All I know that Myr is going through some hard times ... Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Boy on a String
  12. I also, have been there, done that ... for that matter, I am 'doing that' and, just fyi ... moments like these are called 'senior moments'. I think they happen to help us adjust to old age before we get there. Boy on a String
  13. Just a FYI ... In a Newsweek story I read, Bush did enlist with the Texsas Air National Guard. During his time there, he went to his commander and volunteered to go to Vietnam. His commander told him no, for two reasons. First, Bush didn't have enough flight time, and second, the plane he was trained to fly was considered obsolete for combat missions. A lot of folks don't know that Bush did volunteer, so that means that he didn't use his political connections to advoid the war. Boy on a String PS, One thing I really liked, and it really surprised me, about the Newsweek article (it was either an issue in Feb or March ... if I find the mag again at work, I will let you know the date) was that it approached both candidates fairly, without negitivity, about their college years, they both went to Yale, the effect that the two years seperating them had on public opinion about the war, and how the war affected them. It was one of the best written and unbiased articles I have ever read ... and that is so rear in this day and age.
  14. While I like this story, the plot is starting to drag. The last two chapters have been 99% sex, and it seems like half the story is sex which is a shame because the plot is suffering. I do believe that there are places where the sex fits into a story, but most of the time it destroys a good story. This was the case with POD, until Myr re-wrote it. Boy on a String
  15. Happy Birthday. Hope your day was wonderful Boy on a String :sword:
  16. Thanks all for your warm wishes. hope you all have a good one Boy on a String
  17. Hey, Pyro ... Happy Birthday. Hope you have a good one ... and just think ... three more years and it is the big 30! Boy on a String
  18. Really like the story ... Sorry the chapters will be slowing down. It is hard to find good stories. Boy on a String
  19. I have tried to check norton in the past, can't find anything, and they never answer my e-mail. Thanks, Myr for helping out in putting this thing to an end after my goof. Boy on a string
  20. Well, no I feel like a total jerk. How do I get the file back? Boy on a String
  21. I was visiting a friend tonight. He had a friend e-mail him about a virus that is out there that McCafee and Norton don't pick up ... it is received through chat and/or e-mail, and when you get it, it automatically gives it to everyone on your e-mail list, even if you don't write any e-mails. I had it, so I am sending warning others .... 1) Go to start, and then click your 'Find' or 'Search' option. 2) in the folder option, type the name ... jdbgm 3) Be sure to search your C Drive and all the folders (including hidden files for XP) and any other drives you may have. 4) Click 'Find Now'. 5) The virus has a teddy bear icon with the name jdbgmgr.exe. DO NOT OPEN IT 6) Go to the Edit (on the menu bar) and choose 'Select All'. 7) Now go to 'File' (on the menu bar) and select delete. It will then go to the recycle bin. If you find the virus, you must contact all the people in your address book so that they may eradicate the virus from their own address books. This virus will sit there for 14 days before it does anything. I don't know what it will do, but don't want to find out. Just to let people know, seeing that it was on my computer. Boy on a String
  22. Hi, all. When I click on Nav's story, HPKMK, I get a green arrow moving at the top of my page, for like two minutes. Then the page changes, the green arrow disappears, and the bottom of the page says DONE. But there is nothing there  , just a blank page. Does this happen to anyone else? or is it only my puter that this happens to? Boy on a String (wanting to a good story )
  23. Author ... though after Myr reads my latest reply to PC1, he might consider me a pain in the ... well, you get the picture Boy on a String
  24. This is a good question, and I am unsure of how to answer it. fatigue could be one cost ... up to and including ones life ... but how to put that into writing is another matter. I kinda like Kyle's way of doing things for the evil wizard, Gambra. I do think having a restore point, morning or evening, to help limit the mage's power, and the conflict ... do I cast now, or will that leave me without spells later ... and I have never seen in a book where a mage did cast and then wasn't able to later or the reverse, didn't cast and the problems that caused. While coming up with some type of rules is good, I also wonder how intangable that is when it comes to writing? something to think about. In the LOTR, when Gandolf and Saraman (sp wrong, I know, but spelling was not a requirement for me to join ) they were able to show some fatigue as the pounded each other. Raymond E Fiest, (if you never read him, Magician:apprentence and Magician Master are really great reads) handles magic by having different paths ... greater and lesser. And 'lesser' magicians can give the 'greater' magicians a run for there money. Also there were differences in the spells that the two could cast because it they had different abilities. And a few rare individuals could cast both. Some type of point system where different spells cost so much is also a good idea. And this probably has not helped you at all. I don't really know how to come up with anything specific (though I will be thinking about this). Maybe if I see some other responces that aren't as vague as mine, then I might be able to build off of those. Boy on a String
  25. I am unsure if you wanted to include the rules that are in the book, such as A house elf may not own or use a wand. also you should have something about an house elf punishing him/her self. And I agree about #19 ... it makes no sence to me. Boy on a string
