You held on to Michael while White Power covered you and made a bridge to the orcas. Then it all disappeared and you flaked out." "Did Tan go Oracle and start it all?" "Not this time, Kieran. I remember everything from the moment when you faced the orcas and held your Opal. You started t

Oh, so true. - and I'm afraid that they are now learning ways to subvert the power of free speech and education.

Wow! Very interesting. The first comment with queries about what might motivate Yirgella. As well as the fictional instances from Star Trek and 2002 there are the real world uses of AI by social media and military technology to consider. You've expressed it in a nutshell (what a curious saying) - 'We shall see what we shall see'.
  6. Hmm! That was a very curious mix of observances.

I love hearing how people see Mirri. My author feedback reveals that he has touched the hearts of many readers. No, not the source, but what an interesting thought.

    Chapter 1

I have a great love of wild places and nature so they tend to feature in my stories. Yes, for over 60,000 years the story setting has been known as 'Mparntwe'. For just over 200 years it's also been known as 'Alice Springs'. I researched the pronunciation and listened to some Arrernte people say it, and marn-twee is very close. We do visit Monkey Mia and the Shark Bay area which featured in Attunga.

Lol - the author side of me gets pleasure from the thought that the story could hold your attention enough to deprive you of sleep.

Yes, the Tassie Devil situation is greatly improved. My town has a State sanctuary for Australian native animals and the recovery program for tassie devils has been a wonderful success. Every four or five weeks I see the show colony that is doing very well. There's a pic of one cooling off on a hot day in my albums gallery. The First Australian meaning I originally researched for Quambi is 'shelter' - which is close to that Google definition

Yes! The rogue is quite a nemesis. Offense? Hmm! That would be a huge change, especially for the AIs, who have been neutral ever since their independent intelligence developed.

I'm sure the young orca will be ok. So far, Rhys's healings have been completely successful. 'What could this have been?' - a new mystery has entered the friends' lives - watch for the next posting!

I think of him as a quiet achiever', but you are right - the 'new reality' is arriving with the force of hammer blows. His support system can only be described as unique.

'scary' is so very, very appropriate when science and technology is used for purposes of power and aggrandisement.
