Thanks, DD! Ranevargar is a wily old bird who has taken the friends under his wing. (to toss a few cliches around) I don't think his effectiveness is in doubt, but the different time rates might hinder his timeliness.

Wow! There's a thought - with a bit of help from Maurice, Kieran does have the ability to bring down the wrath of the heavens in the form of a mighty storm - something to remember. And I surely agree with you. Scary governments abound.

Hmm! Kieran, with Ranevargar's help, has done some mind altering but it's pretty much been as a defense. Having his own mind altered seems to have made him reluctant to do the same to others.

Lol! Wouldn't it be great if we could all have a panacea of some kind to zap all the stress out of our lives!! - Hang on! Yes, 'catastrophic' really describes what could happen, particularly if the autocratic sections of the world came after them. Luckily the friends are fully aware of Ranevargar's wisdom and factor in his advice. (as much as is possible.)
