  1. well, I think you had already lots earlier shown your mettle and fuse; and this comment appears to continue that.
  2. so, for all we know, he as well may have spelled his first name as 'Napoleone' yet at the time of Toulon? Right? In my opinion, *consistency* speaks for the rendition 'Napoleone Buonaparte' - at the time of Toulon....
  3. I think this was not what I asked. Have you ascertained *when* he had 'changed the spelling' of his first name, which at birth was Napoleone ?
  4. do you mean that this link you gave, something of internet pages named 'europeanhistory', actually would be a reliable source about name consistencies in the Italian language ?? I fail to see any italian-language authority in that mishmash. Its author(s) do not strike as Italians, nor knowledgeable about Italian names. Even French renditions appear to be something they are blissfully ignorant about: there is not the -
  5. ch12: I thought Nappy's name variants, *consistently*, were: in Italian: Napoleone Buonaparte in French: Napol
  6. ch2: weellll...... they are definitely elderly... Retired couple, having grandkids around them, and going to cruise in Caribbean or whatever.
  7. and speaking about bottoms, the famous Mr Shafte really appears as an enthusiastic bottom. His *name* clearly was an intentional thing ..... Mr Needy-to-Get-Shafted
  8. ch11: well.... there's something hanging. like was promised as snerk
  9. cognitive dissonance is, of course, not eliminated from that. there might be a dose of unrealistic self-flattering in those answers how about interpreting these results as follows: the 57% who recognized themselves to be primarily bottoms, are genuine bottoms and honest about it. of the 43% who claim to be 'primarily' tops, a small portion actually would be primarily tops, and a bigger share are so-called versatiles - however reporting themselves as 'mainly top' mostly because they have topped under some circumstances during the past two years at least once, and being top is regarded more manly. Of course, their main usage might well be bottoming.
  10. I love all these bottoms by the way, any survey based on the simple answer of the sample persons, will have the biasing effects of cognitive dissonance. For example, if something is perceived as shameful, or less valued...., the number of that answer will be smaller than the reality. Reversely, if something is perceived as more appreciated, the number of that answer will be higher than the reality. A way to improve the reliability of a survey would be to make in-depth interviews, with objective criteria and unambiguous terms, seeking interviewee information about -for example- his dreams, desires, habits, feelings....
  11. well, it has been my experience that a vast majority of gays want to bottom
  12. ch10: uh huh. gang rapes are in dreams of only some, not all. still, I cannot deduce whether the boy however were gay. Why do I have a feeling that Devlin is going to be bottomized ?
  13. If Max (and his darn father) are direct, legitimately male-line descendants of George, they are in any case in remainder to become Peers of the United Kingdom, and moreover there's a high genealogical likelihood that sooner or later, they will actually inherit a peerage. Namely, it's generally a tough business to maintain a male line from 1700s to about 2000. Usually, only rare branches of a family are lucky enough in that. The odds for such inheritance will double, if George himself happens to receive a peerage (such as, baron of Brentwood) in his old age as reward for his exploits in the service of the crown
  14. does this mean that Caroline possibly got pregnant by a totally other man? poor Georgie, suspicion of a cuckoo placed in his nest...
  15. would there be any suspicion about the biological paternity of the forthcoming kid ? I was a bit disappointed in Caroline's reputation.... something George was not fully apprised earlier, I gather. Their first heterosex took place in what it was, May or June ? and pregnancy is heard of in the end of august - having taken place some week or more to become known as far as in Naples. Okay, three months is a time when a pregnancy is getting to show a bit.... (and women occasionally are not yet aware of their own pregnancy yet sometime in the second month.) The kid just might be sired by George. But, if not, then it's very obvious that Caroline actually would not have been a virgin there in the Carlton House scene [oh, if she were not, then exclamation: what duplicity, what an actress].... Because, it's so unlikely that she had been porked by someone else during their engagement period, a time when she would have been watched by her parents and presumably George would have kept some company to her and additionally, they appear to have liked each other and presumably had a good enough time without outside diversions. Btw, in those days, to many aristocratic women, a marriage was pretty much a full permission to have lovers, whichever men took their fancy. Because, the virginity was no longer at risk, and it was often thought that no one will be the wiser... In those days, there weren't genetic tests to determine paternity. But, some things can be deduced from the outlook of the kid (bone structure, shape of skull, some other features), when the kid grows up. All that said, it's possible that George just is glad to have a kid, not bothering to harbor any suspicions of the paternity.
  16. everyone wants to staft Jamey Robey, so nasty. My view is that the story ends up setting Georgie as the future earl; whereby his two bros need to die off. Let's start from Freddie.
  17. ch8: Blackwell.... is that name somehow familiar ?
  18. I would have thought that to be impossible. Intriguing. Granger appears a bit promiscuous, perhaps. But I find it quite nice that he (seemingly) has some love for each of his guys.
  19. ch 7: cutesy cutesy. George found his boyfriend's former - if that was true or his 'rival' And we see clearly that our George is a bottom
  20. ch6: wohoo. soon a skipper, right
  21. flattery will get you anywhere and everywhere.... ....except possibly to the busy tops' tightly-knitted schedule there's some truth in this. Or, actually, I hear mostly only the nice and good-looking ones of bottoms have often sex.... Those who are dogs, tend seemingly to be quite often left without - and utilize dildoes and whatnot Dog-looking tops appear to have somewhat more sex than should be imagined, as ugly as they are [another cliche here: this assumes gays are so hollow they just mind the looks, not the beauty of character.... and boy, isnt that the truth ] on the other hand, it could be claimed that the phenomenon where almost half of the real bottoms claim in surveys to be top and versatile, were a signal that they feel their bottomness to be somehow shameful. [this actually piles several unproven assumptions, still, this is something I have heard to be argued, iirc by 'representatives' of bottoms' liberation movement]
  22. today, the elder living generation are midgets. Wills and Harry actually are changing that, they have inherited from their maternal family some height. I am suddenly wondering, has there possibly been -a century ago or so- generations where the brit royals' loss height or, were already the stubby hanoverians also shorties. by the way, George III's uncle (or something like), the butchering duke of Cumberland, was also an immensely fat man. Twenty stones, or something.... For a tall, regal man, the weight of some 110 kg is not even obese. But, for George IV, it made him a bloated puss. which indicates to me that he was not tall. he might have been a shortie even - how about if he were 150 cm tall, and had a waist of 127 cm. I think one point is certain: those Hanoverian princes would not attract very much. Were any Hanoverian in England a gay ?
  23. by the way, I have a recollection that the British royal family are almost midgets (shrimp size at least), i.e shorties. And that they were -at least throughout 1700s and 1800s- prone to be fat - and get bloated when in their middle years So, are these Hanoverians short and fat, in general?
  24. we will see -no doubt- what will be the gay future of that shy guy.... and, how much of an omen the name is.
