Menace's Collection - 2. Twinkling Star

Heavily influenced by a song

Twinkling Star

Twinkle twinkle, little star

Can’t you tell me where you are?

I’ve lost my way away too far

Bring me back to where you are.

I’ve searched the desert far and wide

I’m so lonely I want to die

I’m so cold and I’m so dry.

The only sounds I hear are my little cries.

The dark night blackened the sky

I prayed, and I couldn’t say goodbye

I prayed, this was just all a lie.

But this is the last time I can see you tonight.

How far my beloved went?

I want to repent

Oh lord, how I sinned again and again.

And now the sun rises again

I’ve already lost my way away too far

You can’t bring me back to where you are

I can’t hear you anymore because you’re too far

There is no more twinkle twinkle little star

The star is twinkling....

It was really nice, sad but nice. I felt a strange kind of pain while reading it. I don't know why.

The lines

'I’ve searched the desert far and wide

I’m so lonely I want to die

I’m so cold and I’m so dry.

The only sounds I hear are my little cries'

are my favorite in this poem.

Nice job:)

Thank you for reading! Yeah, this poem is the darkest poem I've wrote for now.
