An excellent, captivating tale of almost unrequited love. I felt this was a gay, submissive waiter in love, meets Walter Mitty. I felt the comedic timing was great and even in some of the more serious moments there were some amusing side shots. I chuckled several times at the  pop culture references. I enjoyed those, but I think they might be missed by some younger readers.

I will definitely be reading more by this author.
