Rescued - Prologue. Prelude to disaster
Benjamin and Randolph awoke to sounds of fire trucks and ambulances. Yesterday had been a long day spent mostly in the office of Social Services. They had after almost eight months been approved as foster parents. They had run into multiple roadblocks like Randy's trouble as a teenager spent with the wrong crowd and spent in Juvenile Detention. Of course, Ben's past wasn't all roses either. He had been arrested multiple times for small breaking and enterings. in his last stint in juvie is where her met Randy. They immediately bonded with each other and even helped rehabilitate the other boy.
Upon release both boys took their studies seriously. they both improved their grades tremendously and managed to get academic scholarships to the same college. They roomed together for two years until they finally kissed. By their Senior year they were committed to each other and after graduation they eloped to Canada and got married. Both guys had wanted to be in a field where they could help others so Ben became and educator while Randy became a corrections officer for the same detention center he and Ben met in.
About a year ago a family moved into the house across from them. they seemed nice. There was the mom Angie and the father Jay. They had four boys. Mike was the oldest at seven, then came Jack he was four and always watching for his younger brother Joe who was two. There was a fourth boy named Wesley, he would have been five except he died before the move. They were always courteous to Ben and Randy and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. there was something that was just off with the parents though.
The night of the fire had brought a lot of answers as to what was going on at the house. but with those answers there came even more questions.
