The Poetry of M - 18. The Royal Heart
There is an opening in the soul
Beaten out like a golden door
Bought by pain and completed by love
That becomes noble by war
Fractious enemies that tear
They compete against the opening
Fighting to keep closed what should be wide
This Fear and this conceit, live as constriction
Which is death
Withering they fry and freeze to
Pull closed the golden door
Sucking it shut and sealing it in pain
A Nobility ransomed for safety
The golden door hides within a
Force stronger than any if loved.
Nurtured it pushes forth and breathes
It beats and it quivers with measured force
Open always open and out it pushes
Love as blood and gore as light
Seeking to break out the infarctions
Of the Self to give life to the All
This, the noble Royal Heart
It earns its kingship
In its holy war against what would
Seek to stop it and end the love
That is the blood
That is the life.
