The Poetry of M - 2. Lost Sentinels

Astride my steed

In the gray mist
I tug on the lead
hung in my fist

I see a lone tree
as Old as the Fair
Leaves growing free
in the heavy air

At once, behold, a memory
ablaze in crystalline vision
I upon a promontory
behold my lost habitation

Warm summer light sifts
Through golden spaces
As a sweet sigh lifts
Fine branching laces

Memory. A tree
There a survivor
An emerald key
And sylvan brother

Remnant, as am I
To things long unseen
but to my green eye
A tear brings with a keen
strong>Thanks for reading!
~hugs~

Love that image.

Thank you. Rhyming sometimes brings out interesting imagery. Some poems just write themselves. =P

Some poems do just write themselves.
There are some lovely images here. I'll continue to explore your words.

That you. It is one of three poems here that relate to my story The Thinning Veil...which I have been neglecting of late. Thanks for the review! Indeed...these write themselves as if channeled.
