EPILOGUE
The next morning Randy woke up the boys and got them fed and dressed and they left for the hospital. When they got there, they say Ben and Jack looking well rested. After getting one last look-over from the doctor the guys were heading home. It would be a couple of hours until Mikes parents would get there so they spent that time saying goodbye. When his parents arrived, there were tears all around. They spent the whole day catching up and before leaving to go home.
Two Years Later…
Finally, after two years Angie and Jay finally signed the papers terminating their rights to Jack and Joey. The pair had been caught trying to flee to Mexico and fought tooth and nail against Ben and Randy when the couple tried to get them to sign away the parental rights. The day had finally come that Ben and Randy were officially adopting the boys. Mike and his parents had flown in for the occasion. Mike looked happier than ever that he was with his parents. While waiting for the judge everyone caught up. Mike was an honor roll student and had many friends. Jack and Joey were excited to see their brother after all this time. They skyped everyday but it was nothing compared to physically hugging someone. When the judge entered the room, everyone went quiet. The proceedings went normally and about fifteen minutes later, the boys were officially Ben and Randy’s son.
