Charming: Part I - 11. Chapter Eleven

With Zev holding Violet’s still unconscious body in his arms, he and Lucky entered Slip and Fall and quickly walked into Cindi’s office where she and everyone else were still at. They all looked with concern as Zev placed Violet down gently onto a black armchair at the corner of the office.

“What happened? Is she okay?” Cindi asked, walking to Violet.

“She’s fine. But we barely escaped the vampires who grabbed her hair, trying to pull her back into the tower. I had no other choice, but to cut her hair with my sword, and then she passed out,” Lucky explained.

“Poor thing. Hopefully she wakes up soon,” Cheri said as she leaned forward and placed a gentle hand on Violet’s forehead.

“Yeah, and we not only saw vampires there…we also saw the vampire...Lilith,” Lucky said with extremely distaste in his voice.

“Oh, Godmother. That couldn’t have been easy,” Cheri said as she placed a comforting hand on Lucky’s shoulder.

“I’m all right. Just hope Violet will be okay.”

“And we have something important that Lilith wanted from Violet’s tower,” Zev said as he revealed a bottle of water in his hand. “It’s from…the Lake of Reason if I heard her correctly.”

“Really?” Cindi said as she walked to Zev and was handed the bottle of water. “The Lake of Reason, as in the one belonging to the Snow Queen?”

“I’m assuming. Any additional information you know about it?”

“I do,” Cecil said as he turned his chair to face the others. “Also called the Mirror of Reason, it can basically spell out the truths of the world, but in a more beautiful way if that makes sense. It’s basically the opposite of the mirror that blinded me, making me only see the ugly truths of the world rather than the beautiful. It’s not the piece of the mirror needed to recreate the Magic Mirror, but it can spell out for us the way to find the Snow Queen’s palace where she must have the piece necessary for our mission.”

“I see, and how can we get this to spell out where the palace of the Snow Queen is at?” Zev asked.

“Well, that’s the problem… I don’t know anything more than what I just told you …but maybe Violet knows!”

“Well, we need her to wake up soon since Lilith and the other vampires could already have the key to finding where the Snow Queen is,” Lucky explained as he approached Violet still unconscious on the armchair.

Shaking her shoulder gently, Violet’s eyebrows furrowed and then her eyes slowly opened. She groaned as she sat up on the armchair with a confused look on her face as she looked at her surroundings, most likely wondering where she was.

“Violet? Are you okay?” Lucky asked.

Violet mumbled something incoherent before she reached for her hair by reaching from behind. Her eyes then widened, and she felt the uneven ends of her hair between her fingers before bringing the ends to her eyes. She looked completely panicked as she looked at what remained of her hair before screaming.

“Oh, Godmother! What happened! What happened to my hair!” Violet said as she ran her hands down the short length.

“I’m sorry, Violet. I had to do it,” Lucky said, placing a hand on Violet’s shoulder.

“How could you, Lucky?” Violet screamed, shrugging away Lucky’s hand before standing up. “I need a mirror…NOW!” A small hand mirror was then given to her by Cheri, and as she looked at the ends of her hair, she started to cry heavily. “No way this is happening…”

“I had no other choice, Violet. It was either that or let those vampires take you away,” Lucky explained.

“You don’t understand, Lucky!” Violet said as she fell back onto the armchair and covered her face with her hands. “My hair was who I was, and now that those vampires have it… I don’t want to talk right now.”

“Violet, what do you mean by that?” Lucky asked as crouched down to Violet’s level. “Is your hair important to unlocking the powers of the Mirror of Reason?”

“Of course, it was. That’s why those vampires wanted to capture me along with the Mirror of Reason, to unlock its powers with my hair. Now leave me alone,” Violet said, turning her body away from Lucky.

“Violet.” Lucky took a hold of Violet’s hands, removing them from her tear-stained face, and then said, “I need to know how to unlock the Mirror of Reason now before the vampires can do so. It’s very important that we know where the Snow Queen is at and—”

“Fine! My hair acts like a brush. I brush my hair with the image being reflected onto the Mirror of Reason and the water will form words that will spell out any truth that I want to know about. Now get away from me!” Violet exclaimed, pushing Lucky away and position herself like a fetus on the armchair.

Lucky sighed, knowing that asking Violet to use the remainder of the hair on her head to reveal what was needed right then would most likely result in a punched face. Violet continued to cry and clearly needed to left alone right then, but time was possibly running out. The vampires could already be going to the location of the Snow Queen’s palace and here he was trying to talk to a girl who saw a bad haircut as the worst thing to ever happen to her.

Standing back up and scratching his head with frustration, Lucky wondered what he was going to do next when Cecil came to side before crouching to Violet’s level. He gently moved some of her hair from her face to behind her ear and just waited for a moment as she continued to cry her heart out before speaking.

“Violet. I know you’re hurting right now. However, the moment that I met you, I knew you were someone special, not by your hair, but by who you were as a person. Your wittiness being a prime example of that. You’re more than just your hair, Violet, and right now we need you to help us with the task of finding the Snow Queen’s palace. It’s very important, and you’re the key for the mission to move forward. Please. Violet… Please.”

Violet slowly moved her hands from her face, and after a moment of silence, she said, “Okay… I’ll do it.” She stood up and accepted the bottle from Zev. “I hope this will work. I don’t know how effective my hair will be, but we’ll see. All of you just give me some space.”

Lucky and everyone else took a step back from Violet who proceeded to unscrew the cap of the water bottle, gentle pouring the contents directly onto her hair that immediately became reflective. Tilting her head back, she allowed the reflective water to flow down her hair that grew in length until it reached the floor. Lucky watched as the liquid began to pool into a circle, magically forming gold-colored words that could easily be read. What it said was…confusing.

“Quick. Read it,” Violet advised.

“It says to the Snow Queen’s palace is where time freezes… Is this supposed to be a pun?” Lucky asked as he looked at the words again to see if he missed something.

The remainder of the reflective water poured down from Violet’s hair, leaving it blond and dry once again. The water on the floor then lost its reflectiveness along with the words, turning back to a clear liquid. Lucky cursed, wishing he had more time to see if there was anything to see.

“No. It literally means a place where time actually freezes,” Cecil said, looking at the words too. “I should’ve known. How else can the Snow Queen maintain her immortality except to freeze time at whatever location she is at. And as soon as time resumes, she’ll be already gone. Very interesting.”

“So…we now know that the Snow Queen can literally stop time. How do we use that to our advantage?” Lucky asked Cecil.

“It should be simple, really. All we need is a watch, a digital watch preferably that can display nanoseconds. We can use the watch to find the palace since it should slow down the closer we get, stopping all together once we’re there,” Cecil explained, smiling brightly.

“Woah. That might actually work. Thanks, Cecil.”

“Of course. I’m happy to help.” Scratching his chin, Cecil then said, “I think I also know the general area where the Snow Queen’s palace could be at as well. Just let me get my phone and show you exactly what I’m talking about.”

“So, how did you make your hair do that?” Zev asked Violet.

“I don’t really know. All my father told me was that my hair shines sunlight, giving my hair its golden color that reflects off the Mirror of Reason and ‘shines a light’ to the truth.”

“I got it,” Cecil said.

Turning around, Cecil accidently slipped on the wet floor and fell. His glasses fell off his face and Violet immediately crouched to his side, picking up his glasses and handing them back to him. Cecil gave one glance at Violet before quickly placing his glasses back on his face and clumsily standing back up.

“Uh…t-t-thank you, Violet,” Cecil stuttered, his pale face so crimson it was as if someone sprayed red paint on both of his cheeks.

Violet gave a small smile. “No problem.”

Lucky chuckled at Cecil’s reaction, wondering what he saw that made him blush so profusely. “So, that location?”

“Uh…oh, right! I’ll show you now.” Cecil got his phone from the pocket of his jacket that was hanging on the wall. Opening the flip phone to reveal braille buttons, he quickly tapped his thumb on them before showing Lucky the location. “It’s where unusual occurrences have been have happening and is where a series of small lakes are. The Snow Queen would need plenty of water to construct her ice palace, and trust me when I say this, her palace is humongous, hence why she needs the amount of water to freeze into ice. It’s about an hour drive from the downtown area of the city.”

“Great! That’s where we’ll start then. We need to go there soon, before Lilith gets there first,” Lucky noted before turning his head to Zev who placed his hand on Lucky’s shoulder.

“How about we take a break, Lucky. It’s almost three in the morning, and some of us need some sleep and to recover from what happened,” Zev explained before yawning.

Lucky sighed but nodded. “You’re right. But what if Lilith gets there first?”

“You don’t have worry about that, Lucky,” Cecil said as he put his jacket on. “The Snow Queen’s palace is notorious for being almost impossible to find. It’s going to take us a while to find it too, so we may as well get some sleep, so we have the energy to find the palace and retrieve the piece needed to recreate the Magic Mirror.”

“Come on, Lucky. It’s been a long night, and I can tell you’re trying to hold back a yawn.”

Lucky chuckled. “Fine, fine. You got me. I guess I’ll go home now.”

“You’re not going back to your home. Lilith could have vampires watching your home right now as we speak. No, you’re stay at my place… If that’s okay with you, Cecil,” Zev said.

“No problem. He can stay at our apartment for as long as possible,” Cecil agreed.

“And what about me?”

All three men turned their heads to Violet who looked so helpless with her eyes red from crying and her once majestically long hair cut uneven at the shoulders.

“Y-Y-You can stay with us if you want,” Cecil offered as he smiled shyly with his walking cane in his hands.

“I don’t really have much of a choice, do I? All my security guards are dead and my father’s away at a business trip… I guess I can stay with you guys.”

“Fantastic. Just don’t enter Zev’s room. It’s a complete mess and have tripped something on the floor more than once.”

Zev grunted. “Anyways, we should be going back to the apartment now. We’ll continue with the mission after we get enough sleep.”

***

After changing into some clothes that Zev handed him in the bathroom, Lucky entered his bedroom and noticed the clutter of books on the shelves, small piles of unfolded clothing on the dresser and some papers scattered on the floor. Despite the mess, Lucky had seen much worse, like the bedroom of one of his brother when he used to live at his father’s home. And it felt homey with the light from the lamp shining a natural into the small room.

Curious, Lucky walked to the shelves filled with books and looked at the titles on the spines. He was very surprised to see that most of the books, if not all, were romance novels. Picking one from random, he looked at the cover art and saw that it was two, shirtless men kissing each other. Who knew Zev the big, bad police officer was a hopeless romantic.

The book was suddenly snatched from his hands and Lucky turned to see Zev who had an annoyed look on his face.

“Nosy, aren’t you?” Zev said as he placed the book back onto the shelf. “Ever heard of curiosity killed the cat?”

“Sorry. Just curious,” Lucky said, trying to suppress his amusement from Zev. “Never thought of you as the romantic type.”

Zev rolled his eyes. “Just something I do to pass the time.”

“Sure, it is.” Lucky chuckled. “So, what are you into since we’re on the subject of romance?”

Sitting on the end of his bed, Zev shrugged and said, “Just the normal stuff.”

“Let me rephrase that question. Who are you into?”

“Well…blonds have always caught my attention.” Standing up and stopping in front of Lucky, he tousled some of his blond hair and smirked.

“I’m more than just my hair, you know,” Lucky stated.

Zev chuckled. “Especially the ones who get easily butthurt.”

“Butthurt, huh? Well, you’re a blowhard.”

Zev chuckled again and gripped Lucky’s hair that caused a surge of tense pleasure in Lucky. “Blowhard? Is that the nickname you gave me? Well, the few men I’ve been with didn’t mind me blowing hard on them.”

Lucky pulled away from Zev’s grip and looked away. “You don’t say…”

Zev chuckled again and playfully patted Lucky on the head before walking out of the bedroom to change. A minute later, Zev returned in a white tank top and black sweatpants with a sleeping bag that he unrolled on the floor, next to his bed.

“I’ll be sleeping on the floor. You can sleep in my bed,” Zev offered as he crouched to the floor.

“Oh… You don’t have to do that. I’ll take the floor.”

“No, you’re the guest. I’ll be fine.”

“Well… Who said we can’t share the bed together?” Lucky asked and jumped onto the bed.

Lucky did not know why he was suggesting that they share the bed together. He still barely knew the guy other than he was wolf, a police officer and had a thing for gay romance novels. Maybe he was hoping that sharing the same bed would lead to something else, something more intimate. It had to do with Zev’s imprinting or whatever he did that made Lucky want to get closer to him despite only knowing each other for a week. And every time they got close physically, Lucky wanted more and more of that contact. It was like drug, except the feelings were getting stronger and not losing sensation.

Zev raised an eyebrow and stood up. “That wouldn’t be wise.”

“Why not? Plenty of space.” Lucky patted on the empty side of the bed.

Lucky knew he was being pathetic right then, but something was pulling him to say these things to Zev. And just looking at him made his mouth water. He really wanted to know what Zev looked like without his tank top, and what the rest of his body looked like as well. He bet Zev was completely hairy, judging by the tuffs of hairs on the neckline of his tank top. He wanted to know how soft those hairs were, and how heavy Zev would be on top of him, kissing him, licking him…and panting as they screwed each other’s brains out. Lucky wanted to know it all.

“Are you trying to seduce me, Prince Charming?” Zev asked with amusement.

Lucky smirked. “Come on. I’ll behave.”

“Yeah…but don’t think I can.”

Lucky’s other member perked up by that response and looking down he saw Zev’s own member pushing against the fabric of his sweatpants. And wow, Lucky could tell the man was packing. Lucky then scooted forward and reached his hand to the thickening rod but was stopped when Zev grabbed his hand.

“What do you think you’re doing?” Zev growled, his grip tightening around Lucky’s wrist.

“Just curious.”

“If you touch me, Lucky, I won’t be able to stop myself.”

Lucky ignored Zev’s warning, only daring to him to move forward with the action as he grab his erection with his other hand. Zeb growled through his teeth and Lucky could not think of a sound any sexier than what he just heard. Lucky made the move to pull down his sweatpants, but Zev pushed Lucky back onto the bed before moving on top of him, putting Lucky’s hands above his head with one hand and gripping his throat with the other.

“Don’t test me, Lucky?” Zev warned, his stare searing into Lucky.

“Or what?” Lucky lifted his knee and pushed it against his erection. Zev responded with another growl that he tried to suppress, and Lucky said, “You know you want it.”

“You don’t know about wolf virility, do you? Once we start fucking, we can’t stop until we’re about to pass out from complete exhaustion. And I don’t think you can handle that, Lucky.”

“Don’t underestimate. I can handle it.” Leaning his face forward, brushed his lips and Zev’s and whispered, “Why don’t you blow my mind away?”

Without warning, Zev’s lips immediately collided with Lucky’s and the kiss, Lucky’s first kiss ever with another man, and it took his breath away. The kiss quickly deepened into making out as they exchanged each other’s tongues and swapping each other’s essence that was driving Zev even wilder and more beast-like. He grinded his crotch against Lucky’s like a man who was edged to the point of desperation, while Lucky was being consumed by the intense ferocity of Zev and loving it.

After only a minute, Lucky felt his orgasm building to the brink, and he sensed that Zev was about to lose himself as well. He then came along with Zev, arching his head back as the orgasm shot thought him hard as Zev roared as he came in his sweatpants as well. His grip around his wrist and neck tightened, giving him both pain and pleasure as he felt the raw strength of the wolf who continued to cum and shake from his orgasm.

Their lips then reunited as Lucky felt the wetness of his sweatpants and realized that this was the first time he ever came with a man, and it was worthy of another orgasm.

“Wow… Just wow,” Lucky said as he tried to sit up, only to be shoved back down onto the bed. “Zev?”

“Where do you think you’re going?” Zev sat up, stripping off his tank top and revealed a muscular, defined body that was covered by hair. “If you think I’m finished from just one shot of my load, you couldn’t be more wrong.”

“I was just going to clean yourself up.” Lucky felt the dominance of Zev’s words and he could already feel himself getting ready for round two.

“No, you’re not leaving until your body is covered with sweat and your mind is shattered after of fuck your tight ass all night long. Are you prepared for that?” Zev asked with bared teeth.

Lucky was both scared and very excited by the idea of getting pounded by Zev for the whole night, and what made him more excited than scared was the feel of Zev’s cock inside him, filling him up. They would do this until he was not only used up by Zev, he would be owned by him too.

So, Lucky nodded and said, “I’m prepared.”

Zev smirked and lowered himself onto Lucky again. “Then here comes the Big Bad Wolf.”

Lucky is about to get lucky.  Way to go Zev.  I think the trip to find the snow queen tomorrow might be delayed abit.  Great story. Thanks.

Yeah, with what's going on in Zev's bedroom, the road trip to the Snow Queen's palace will definitely be delayed since Lucky's going to need plenty of time to recover.  And he's the Prince Charming!  Zev can't get any luckier than that.  Haha.

Well, somebody had to have heard that. It doesn't matter. Violet already knows Lucky isn't interested in her and Cecil probably couldn't be happier Zev has someone. Wild, howling wolf sex. I don't believe Lucky knows what he just got himself into.

Yes, Lucky is, dare I say, very lucky to end up with a man like Zev even though he's somewhat rough around the edges.  He's still a very good person, dedicated to the law, his family and all those romance books in his bedroom haha.  And one has to wonder if there's something brewing between Violet and Cecil as well.

Oooohh things are about to get hot and heavy! Zev sounds like an animal in the sack, literally!

Yup, I feel something brewing between Cecil and Violet.

And I'm super stoked to finally see the Snow Queen!

And don't forget heated since Zev is literally a wolf in heat right now haha!  Also, brewing is good word to use since they'll need all the warmth they can get before heading to the Snow Queen's palace.
