Poems of K - 2. Loop

Funny thoughts can come at the most inappropriate moments.

Tick tock

It is five o'clock in the morning, I

rouse myself up and made up my bed. The

golden sun rises up and greets the world

Hello! A new day has fin'ly begin!

Ticktock

11 A.M. mind's racing I've got

no time to eat to drink to breathe The boss

is yelling reports are piling things are

falling everywhere and I can't explain

tick

tock

five in the evenin i dont give a fuck.

draggin my body and mind through the muck.

goin home for dinner but now im stuck

in traffic. app'tite goin down the drain

Tick tock

The clock strikes ten and I am exhausted

Living a life lamenting lack of light

of dreams, of hope, of vigour and passion

Sleep now cause soon all start over again

Stuck in a loop and there is no way out. Know you need help but no one helping out.
Being alone can sometimes feel hopeless. This loop you're in too deep it seems endless.
You're full of anger and despair and rage. Know how to end it with the right dosage.
BUT
Please keep telling yourself that you matter. Don't give up cause it always gets better.

Chapter Comments

Too many of us can relate to the theme of this poem. You illustrate the daily frustrations of being stuck in a loop well. But with that, you also show the rejuvenation that each new day provides.

I really relate to this - many times I have felt stuck in an endless cycle of hours and days without change or progression. You paint this picture very well.
