Limerick's loony bin and other crazy sh% - 4. Day 11 - Day 15

Gondola*

A gondola isn’t a simple boat,

but an overpriced production meant to gloat,

You bop up and down the fetid Canale,

Suffer from an out of tune singing locale,

and take lots of pictures or even a film while afloat.

Messing about in boats. A boat?

 

Azure Perimeter*

...the ‘Blue’ applied on human paintbrushes, imprinting virgin white paper with single tone music, to me — noise. Performance? Anthropometry.

Nothing is important but the single Blue. It resonates with all my senses most pleasantly. To paint the world in Yves Klein Blue...

Absurdist prose poem after picking a random title from the provided list.

 

November*

On, foggy legs he stalks through the end of the year,
sudden gusts of wind and rain tug on tattered
clothes and silvery spider web hair. In early morning,
his ice crystal eyes peruse the world for colorful remnants of wild October, to cover
them and prepare for his other brother’s arrival, tranquil December.

Let your poem have the name a month in its title and then attempt to capture the essence of that month.

No spark to play with fire

Nothing to incite the mind

No meaning behind

There’s more that I require.

Gondola paints well, the disappointment we feel when something doesn't measure up to our expectations. I like this.

Your personification of November is superb, Adi. Succinct and subtle, you describe him well. :) 

Cats fascinate me too... they really are shapeshifters, aloof yet loving, serious, yet having senses of humor. Your poem is apt. 

And yeah, some prompts just don't work. I think it is about timing as much as anything. Good work, Adi.

I am in a love in hate relationship with my birth-month. So happy you could relate to Prompt, and Shapeshifter.

Venice is a favorite place to me, the gondolas are beautiful and elegant and tourists traps. Still...one day? I'm glad you took the risk of Azure Perimeter.  Thank you for reading and sharing your thoughts with me, Parker.
