Bound By Blood - 13. Chapter Thirteen

After my eventful date that ended with many guests being treated for temporary blindness and dozens of lycans being arrested, I stood outside the museum as police cars and ambulances occupied the street. Will, along with a few knights, helped with disseminating everything that happened to the police, but other than that the rest of the crime scene was being taken care of by regular law enforcement.

Will said their involvement was because of the numerous human guests getting caught in the crossfire back at the Aztecan exhibit. I wanted to help, but Will insisted that I did more than enough and said that the rest of the could be handled by him.

I trusted Will as I sat on the first steps of the museum and called Anthony who answered and said that everything back home was all right. I heard laughter coming from the other end, and he then told me that they were watching a movie before bursting out in laughter himself. I smiled and told him that I would arrive back home after midnight. I ended the call and just sat there until Will and his team were finished. Then my eyes zeroed in on Alexandra who standing by the back of an ambulance.

Contemplating my decision, I then stood up and walked to Alexandra’s location. I heard a medical technician asking whether she wanted a blanket. She, in return, dismissed the man, and when she saw me approach, she sighed and walked towards the back of the ambulance. Alexandra sat down at the rear of the emergency vehicle, and I stopped a short distance from her. With her hair now in a messy bun and missing one heeled shoe, she didn’t look like she was at her prime state. Other than that, she looked unharmed and that was all I could ask for in return.

“What do you want?” Alexandra asked stoically.

“Nothing. Just wanted to make sure you were all right… I’ll be going now… Stay safe, okay?” I didn’t mind that Alexandra still looked annoyed, so I decided to turn around and offer her some much needed space.

“Damien…”

I stopped and turned back around. “Yeah?”

“I’m sorry. Can we talk for a moment, please?” Alexandra asked.

I held back a smile and nodded, approaching the ambulance and sitting down next to her. “So, what do you want to—”

“I wanted to thank you, Mr. St. Paul,” Alexandra said as she looked down at her feet. “You saved my life, even though I treated you only with resentment and disdain. You could’ve turned away from the museum earlier this evening, yet you didn’t. You went out of your way to protect me from those lycans, and I just really want you to know how grateful I am for you being there at the right time.”

I patted Alexandra’s shoulder and said, “You’re welcome… Do you need a blanket? You’ve been through a lot.”

Chuckling, Alexandra then said, “A body devoid of warmth and life doesn’t need anything as tawdry as a blanket.”

“Well, I guess that’s just one of the many perks of being a vampire, isn’t it?”

Alexandra sighed before turning to me and saying, “Being a vampire isn’t as glamorous as many people in the media and Hollywood make it out to be… I thought being a creature with the power of immortality would’ve opened so many opportunities for me. No longer would I have the constraints of time to weigh me down and what I wanted to do in life…or death I should say. Now though…I realize how many things I haven’t gotten to enjoy in life before I became a vampire… Like having a family like Annabella did… Or even going to the beach when it’s sunny outside, enjoying the rays touch my skin and revitalize my soul… Now I can’t even look at an image of a sunny beach without hurting my eyes.”

“I’m sorry, Alexandra,” I said with sincerity.

“Don’t be. This is the path I’ve chosen and there’s no turning back… You see, being granted immortality has a steep price to inheriting this power.”

“And what’s the price?” I asked.

“No chance of an afterlife,” Alexandra said simply as she looked up at the night sky. “We have no souls, nothing to carry over if our physical bodies can no longer function… I’ll never be able to see my sister, Annabella, and that’s what I most regret about my transformation into a soulless creature known as a vampire.”

“You…You really think she’s up there?”

“I wouldn’t say ‘up there’ is where she would be, but I do believe she is somewhere, watching over you and your family, being the guardian angel she is now and always was when she and I were still alive… And when I think about it, we both passed on, just in different ways.”

Looking at Alexandra, I could tell she wasn’t the cold, ice queen she portrayed herself to me. Inside, she was just a person who was hurting because of the decisions she made in the past that affected her relationships the most. Lord knew I also suffered through this, especially back home where I left my brother to pursue a new life, while ruining his by having the one person he looked up to leave him one night without even a note to explain why I essentially abandoned.

“We’ve all made mistakes in our pasts,” I said, looking at Alexandra who had a stray tear coming down her face, “But that’s what make us humans, regardless if you’re a lycan, in the afterlife, or a vampire. We can only look forward to changing today and tomorrow. So, I wouldn’t linger too long in the past, but instead enjoy what you have now…because even vampires are still vulnerable just as any human and what we all have now can be taken away from us in a second.”

Alexandra looked at me with tear-glazed eyes but with a smile as well. “That’s exactly what Annabella would’ve said to me.”

I smiled back and Alexandra leaned forward, hugging me lightly. I hugged her back, and in my head I thanked Will for the speech he gave me only a few days ago but with my own alterations of course.

After a moment, we ended our hug and after pushing a few stray hairs from her forehead, Alexandra said, “Thank you again, Damien. If there’s anything I can do to repay you…”

“Well, there is one thing…” Pulling out my phone, I then said, “How about you come to my son’s high-school football game this Friday. You can watch him play and meet the girls as well. What do you say?”

“Oh, Damien…I can’t. I mean, I really appreciate your offer, but—”

“No ‘buts.’ I want you to come to the game and meet my family…our family. That’ll be your repayment to me as well as an offer… So, can I have your number, please?”

Alexandra looked down and was quiet for a moment, but she then smiled at me and said, “I’d love to.”

We exchanged numbers and after I told her that I would send her information about the time and location, I offered her another hug before leaving her to talk with another medical technician. I felt light on my feet as I approached Will who was talking on his phone.

“Yes, my king, I’ll get it done… And I’m sorry.” Will put his phone away and looked at me before saying, “Are you ready to leave? The king’s knights will finish things up from here.”

I nodded, and I followed Will further down the street until we approached his car. Will knocked on the window, awakening his chauffeur before entering at the back. I sat next to him, still wearing a smile on my face about getting to know Alexandra as family. However, when I looked at Will, he had furrowed eyebrows as he fumbled with a golden ring around his index finger. I always saw him with his aura of confidence and control, but now he looked anything but that.

“Hey, Will…are you okay?” I asked, leaning towards him and lifting his chin up with a finger.

Will chuckled. “Not really. The king wanted this mission to be done in a specific fashion, and I failed him.”

“What are you talking about? We were able to save Alexandra and take down all those lycans who were responsible,” I stated.

“And many innocent people got injured in the process, because of me.”

“It’s only temporary blindness. They’ll recover,” I assured Will.

Lying his head back, Will closed his eyes and said, “That’s not what the king thinks. He didn’t want any civilians getting caught in the crossfire, and they wouldn’t have if I wasn’t distracted. I meant to destroy the breaker box after deactivating the lights…but one of the lycans who I thought was down snuck up behind me in the dark and struck me on the head. He activated the ultralights when I was down. If you hadn’t been there to save the museum director, it could’ve led to a war since the fact that she is a vampire isn’t common knowledge, including the guests who are all leaders to various Christian denominations. They all want the exhibit of Jesus Christ to be created and seeing her burn alive would’ve caused major conflict. A war would then break out between these religious leaders and vampires.”

“A war, huh? You said something like that during the birthday party,” I recalled.

“Yes. Also most lycans live in their own reservations at the countryside. Seeing so many of them working undercover in the city, that’s not like them. Someone must be paying off these lycans to do his or her bidding, a vampire most likely. He or she must want information that’s only in the possession of the museum director, even if it’ll cause a war.”

“And what kind of information could Alexandra have to warrant this kind of assassination attempt?”

Will pressed a button by the side window which caused a barrier to roll up between the front and back side of the car and gave us some privacy. “It’s quite possible she has vital information pertaining to the secret location of the Holy Grail.”

I didn’t respond, not believing that the Holy Grail was this sought after, or even that it truly existed.

“It makes sense. What better centerpiece for an exhibit dedicated to Jesus Christ than the cup that he poured his own blood into during the Last Supper?” Will noted. “That grail is what the eldest of vampires have sought after for centuries, leading them all the way to the Americas for a similar object known as the Fountain of Youth. They believe that whatever is poured inside, when drank, can eliminate all the negative attributes associated with vampirism and maybe even bring them godhood status. You see, Damien, unlike today’s modern technology that become obsolete within a year with an upgraded system gets launched into the market, the Holy Grail and other similar devices only become stronger and more powerful with age and not even the most knowledgeable of vampires know the grail’s true capabilities.”

Looking through the window, Will then said, “My king doesn’t want humans to get involved in this mess, hence why he didn’t want any of them getting harmed back in the museum. Unfortunately, I couldn’t fulfill that most important objective, and this war could become even bloodier because of my mistake.”

“Come on, Will. Don’t blame yourself now. If your king wanted the mission done a certain way, he should’ve got up from his throne and done it himself,” I asserted which earned a smile from Will.

“Now, now. My king has done many very noble deeds with just his two bare hands. However, he’s more of a strategist than a fighter, so he depends on people like me to successfully execute his plans to maintain order and balance between the vampire kingdoms and humanity. I don’t like disappointing him…especially since he’s the person who made me who I am.”

“You mean…he’s the one who transformed you into a vampire?” I asked.

Will nodded, and he turned to me before saying, “I was close to death when he found me on a battlefield, discovering that I was the only soldier in my whole battalion who survived. However, I was only moments away from leaving this world when he allowed me to drink his blood, believing I had incredible potential for surviving as long as I did.”

“And what battle was this?”

“It was a lesser known battle, only mentioned in a few history textbooks. But that battle was part of the American Civil War.”

“So, you are indeed more than a century old.”

“I’m a hundred and forty-nine years old to be specific, but back then I was only considered a child who needed to prove himself to his creator. I did so by infiltrating the Confederacy’s ranks and accomplishing my mission by leaving a copy of Robert E. Lee’s plans by a locust tree.”

“I know that story. That discovery led to the Battle of Antietam in which the Union won and was considered one of the major turning points of the war. You…You were the one responsible?”

Will smiled. “You really are a history buff… Yes, I was one who left those battle plans behind and gave the Union a major advantage over the Confederacy. My king was very proud of me, and I only made him prouder as the years went by, and I soon became his loyal thane. He gave this once weak, Union soldier the life I have now, so disappointing him is never an option.”

“I’m sure he’s not that disappointed… You’ll be able to make it up to him,” I said confidently.

“I hope so. I’ll be making sure Alexandra is well-guarded until I get everything straightened out.” Sighing, Will then said, “We really need to have a date that doesn’t involve talks about possible war and blood.”

I chuckled and said, “Hey, it’s exciting nonetheless, right?”

“Yes, but I really just want to talk to you and become closer as a result.” Will leaned his face forward. “How about a kiss to start?”

I smirked. “Come here.”

Will closed the distance between us, and for a moment I was back in heaven with Will as my angel. However, he suddenly flinched from our kiss and had a hand covering his mouth.

“What’s wrong? Did I hurt you?” I asked, so worried.

“No, no. I’m okay… Did you accidently bite your tongue or something like that earlier this evening?”

With furrowed eyebrows, I said, “No, I don’t think so… Oh, I know what happened… When that lycan punched me in the chest, I coughed out some blood.”

“Then that explains why my mouth is buzzing right now.” Will chuckled. “I guess your blood is like wine, the first sip is always the most intense.”

“Do…Do you want to kiss me again? To get used to the taste of my blood?” I asked as I felt my face heat up.

Even though I already knew that vampires like Will drank blood as a way of sustainability, I didn’t even think about the possibility of Will wanting to drink my blood. Was that going to be an obstacle that needed to be overcome as our relationship grew? Did he want my blood in a wineglass, or straight from the source with his teeth sinking into my neck? The idea of offering my blood to him didn’t completely turn me off, especially since I’ve heard that a vampire drinking from a host could be its own kind of pleasure. But were we ready for that? Was I?

I knew I was lost in my thoughts when Will rested a hand on my neck, and I returned to see him looking at me with gentle eyes.

“You don’t have to do that for me, Damien,” Will said.

“But…But what if I want to?”

Will was quiet for a moment, and then he said, “Even if you want to and you’re ready…I don’t think I am quite yet… I want it to be special and doing it at the back of my car isn’t what I have in mind.”

I chuckled. “Yeah. I think you’re right…so what do you want to do instead? I still want to kiss you, but…”

Will smirked and looked down at my crouch that instantly grew hard from just that. He licked his lips and played with the zipper of my pants, while my breathing got heavier and more uneven as Will continued to tease me.

Will then directed his eyes to mine, and with a lusty tone said, “How about this instead, Mr. St. Paul?”

I nodded immediately, and that prompted Will to pull the zipper completely down, allowing my erection to spring out from the prison of the black fabric. It seemed that my underwear couldn’t contain my hardened member as Will grasped it in his smooth hand and started stroking it in slow, steady motions.

“I knew you were big down there, but seeing it for myself…”

“Stroke faster, Will.” Releasing his hand from my cock, I whimpered and said, “No, keep stroking me.”

“Then what do you say?” Will said sternly.

I raised an eyebrow at the vampire who was teasing me too much. “I don’t… Keep stroking my cock, please…. Master.”

Will gave a cocky smirk and said, “I think I have a better idea.”

Before I could ask what that idea was, I felt a wet heat engulf my entire cock, and I jumped in response. Looking down, I saw one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever seen, Will’s lips around my erection and his head bobbing up and down that was making me already go insane. Added with his swirling tongue around my cock’s head and his hands massaging my balls, I couldn’t stop myself from moaning like crazy and calling Will my master again, every time I did, he would take my entire cock in his mouth without any inhibition.

Already feeling my climax reaching its peak, I moaned out, “Will…I’m about to cum!”

A couple of seconds later, the pressure in my balls released, and I grasped Will’s silky, dark hair with both hands as I shot my entire load into his mouth. My body almost convulsed as I shot repeatedly into Will’s perfect mouth, and he didn’t choke, he just took it like the man and vampire that he was. That orgasm was one of the best I had in a long ass time, and to think that he only had my cock in his mouth for only a few minutes or less. I couldn’t imagine what else he had in store for us.

After that incredible release, I tried to control my breathing as well my vision that blurred during my orgasm. I looked at Will who licked his lips, like he was savoring the taste of my cum in my mouth and that was fucking hot as hell.

Our eyes then locked, and he maintained eye contact as he positioned himself so that he was sitting on my lap. We then just stared into each other’s eyes for what felt like forever, and he then gave me a light peck on the lips. I wanted to kiss him back, but I knew that unless there was mouthwash in his car, that wasn’t a possibility. But just him looking me as his thumb massaged the side of my neck where my birthmark was and making me feel so relaxed was enough for me right then.

“Thank you for that, Will,” I said. “Do you want me to return the favor?”

“No, you don’t need to. That was just as amazing for me as it was for you…and I can’t wait for the time when you release your load in my ass instead.”

I bit my lower lip, and I already felt my cock hardening again from just the thought of fucking Will until I filled and marked him with my essence. However, that had to wait since the car stopped, and I looked out to see that I was back in my neighborhood.

I then felt Will kiss my cheek and looking back at him, I said, “So…do you want to come to my son’s football game this Friday?”

Will smiled brightly and said, “Of course.”

Damien's rescue of Alexandra softened the ice queen in her. I imagine the kids will be as startled by her resemblance to their more as Damiien was. If she plays her cards right, she could have a more fulfilling life by becoming a part of their lives.

the king's expectations from Will are almost impossibility high. Other than his exploits during the Civil War, you have to wonder what else he has accomplished to expect routine perfection.

Hopefully, Alexandra will thaw out even more when she sees her twin sister's kids, especially Isabel and Joanna who must resemble Alexandra and Annabella when they were younger. Also, what better way to end a date then a good, old-fashion blowjob haha! Thanks again for commenting!

And the possibility that they don't even know that their mother has a sister is going to factor in to the shock of seeing her during the football game. Hopefully, they'll adjust quickly and welcome her into the family. Also king's expectations could be very high because Will has been a very loyal thane, accomplishing mission to such a perfect degree that His Majesty doesn't expect anything less from him as a result. I mean, Will is the one responsible for changing the course of American history for the better, so it makes sense that the king expects Will to not screw up in any fashion. However, he is still just one vampire, a person who can make mistakes like anyone else and hopefully he doesn't beat himself too much over a simple error.

The ice queen is starting to thaw! I love this story

Yes, and one has to wonder who she really is when all that ice finally melts. Hopefully, we'll see during Austin's football game. Thank you for always sharing your love for the story by commenting!
