Disasters, Delights and Other Detours - 77. The Yearning Hours

These have the lilt of a folksong about them. Maybe it's the nearly repeated first lines. Whatever it is, they're lovely.

I don't know much about writing poems, but I do know that I liked this one very much!

Lovely, I can hear the song and the loving contentment in these words.

I agree with Northie.  It has a folk song rhythm and reminds me of old school English poems, kind of like Blake. I pictured the sun at the various points of the day.  I enjoyed this a lot.
