Matt and Donnie - 2. Chapter 2

“It’s almost one; I think we should get ready for bed as well. Come on; you can sleep in my room.”

I turned everything off, and we headed to my room. I have a large room, and since Dave spends a lot of time sleeping over, I have a king-size bed. I also have my own bathroom, which is really nice, particularly in the morning when I have to tame the monster. “Donnie, I normally sleep naked except when Dave is sleeping over, then I wear shorts.” I waited to hear what he would say.

“This is your house. You should sleep as you normally do, and I’ll join you.”

I just smiled to myself. He’s a lot braver than me. I don’t think I’d sleep naked with a guy unless we were seriously dating. Maybe that’s why Donnie agreed to sleep naked as well. “Donnie, I’m going to take a shower before I go to bed. Do you want to join me?” Now I was flirting.

Donnie watched me strip, and then slowly, he stripped as well. Looking him over, not bad, nice ass, and his little Donnie was ok. “Come on, let’s hurry up so we can get some sleep before Dave wakes us.”

I started the shower, jumped in to adjust the temperature, and held the door open for Donnie. I made sure I placed Donnie in front of me. I wanted to look at that ass, and this also allowed me to wash his back, right down to his feet. I took the shampoo off the shelf behind me, “Wet your hair, and I’ll treat you to a scalp massage and shampoo.” He stuck his head in the shower stream; I poured some shampoo on his head and began to massage his scalp, creating many suds that trickled down his back. I think that was the longest time I ever spent washing someone’s hair and particularly mine. I pushed his head forward to rinse, then I put some conditioner in my hand and worked it through his head. Taking a loofah and some soap, I began to wash his back. He just stood still with his eyes closed. I wonder what he was thinking. He jerked when I started to wash his ass cheeks. I like the feel of them. They were firm and not flat, either. I could see myself rocking between them. I washed his legs then back up to that ass. I let my finger run through his valley till I hit his gate. He jumped a little. I handed him the loofa, “Your turn.” When he turned around, he was hard. I looked not bad about 6 1/2 to 7 inches, not bad at all. His face was red. I just smiled and kissed him.

I turned my back to him, and he began to wash my hair. What a feeling, this I could get used to very quickly. He took his time, and I think he was enjoying as much as I was. All things must come to an end as I felt the loofa on my back. Now I think I have a nice body, I’m toned from sports and workouts, and my ass is ok, although I think Donnie’s is better.

I jumped a little when he ran his finger down my valley, he laughed and said something about what’s good for the goose is good for the gander, as he said that, he goosed me. When I turned around, he got the chance to see my 7-inch flag pole. He just smiled, leaned in, and kissed me. I reached for his flag pole as he reached for mine, and in less than two strokes, we shot off. It was a good thing we were in the shower. It would have made a big mess in my bed.

We dried each other while exploring, smiling. I gave Donnie a spare toothbrush and shared the sink brushing our teeth. I took this hand and led him to my bed, acting silly, “Come my fair maiden to our wedding bed.” We laughed at our silliness.

“Are we going to wake your parents horsing around like this?”

“No, their bedroom is on the other side of the house.”

I pulled down the light duvet, patted a spot for Donnie. He got in, and I pulled the duvet over us.

“I never thought I’d ever sleep in your bed, Matt. If you told me now that you prefer girls to boys, I think it would break my heart.”

“Donnie, I told you I wasn’t sure, but I’ll tell you, I like you very much. I have enjoyed it today, and I hope I’ll enjoy sleeping with you. I don’t want to hurt you. I like you too much for that. But we are here now. Let’s not worry about tomorrow.” I reached over and pulled him into my arms. Looking into his eyes, I lowered my head and kissed him. He smiled, put his hand behind my head, and pulled my lips to his again.

I liked Donnie. He was sensitive, caring, and easy to read. There wasn’t a mystery about him. What you see is what you got. He was cute, and in a few years, he’d be very handsome and being so open with his feelings unless he meets the right person, he’ll be hurt many times. I wouldn’t want that for him. He’s too good for that kind of treatment.

Wait, what am I thinking? I sound like I want to take care of him for the rest of his life, to protect him from the nasties of this world. Do I like him that much to swing his way? Isn’t this too early? We’re only juniors in high school and have several more years of college. But I do like him, and he has a great personality, open and smart. I need to talk to Mom when I get a chance. I looked at Donnie, he had a smile on his face, eyes shut, and he was asleep. I wonder what his dreams will be tonight.

I slowly drifted off to sleep, with all of these questions in my mind. My sleep was a little restless. My dreams were of Donnie and me living together, then breaking up over a woman. Donnie became very ill and tried to commit suicide. I guess I started to moan or something. The next thing I knew, Donnie was shaking me awake.

I realized it was a dream. Looking at Donnie, I could see his concern for me. I pulled him to me and kissed him. He smiled; all is right. He laid down again in my arms, and we fell asleep. I didn’t dream the rest of the night.

The next thing I remember was Mom knocking on my door, yelling for me to get up. I went to wake Donnie, and he wasn’t in my bed. I jumped up and ran to the bathroom. There was my Donnie brushing his teeth and smiling at me while pointing to the shower. I jumped in and took a quick shower, dried off, and brushed my teeth while Donnie was getting dressed. “Donnie, putting on the same clothes is not a good idea. Here are some boxers, a t-shirt, socks and you can try a pair of my pants. Leave your clothes in my hamper, and they’ll be washed and ready for the next time you’re here.”

He removed his clothes and put on the clothes I gave him. They fit him ok. Dressed, we went to the kitchen to get some breakfast. Mom looked at Donnie and then looked at me; I nodded yes. She just smiled. Since it was way past breakfast, I made some toasted cheese sandwiches. “This is still breakfast but more like brunch. But you need some protein to start the day off.”

“I need to go home. Will I see you later?”

“Wait, I’ll walk with you. I want to meet your father and mother.”

“My father is my birth father, but my mother is my stepmother. She’s Angie’s mother.”

“So, your dad married Angie’s mother?”

“Right, smart ass, did you have to say that out loud.” Donnie just smiled. “There’s my dad now getting ready to leave. He must have a meeting in the city.”

The car stopped as we got to the front of Donnie’s house. His dad rolled down the window, “You ok?”

“Yes, Dad, Dad, this is Matt.”

“How do you do sir, it’s a pleasure to meet Donnie’s father.”

He gave me a look that said cut the bull shit. “Dad, he’s not like this at all. He’s a good guy that sometimes likes to suck his big toe.” His dad just laughed, rolled up the window, and you could see him laughing as he drove away.

I looked at Donnie, “Why did you say that?”

“Look, Matt, would you say something like that to your dad? He’s my dad. You could have just said hi. He isn’t the mayor.”

“Ok, I get the point. I didn’t want to screw up the possibility of not seeing you again or having you staying over.”

“It’s ok. You gave him a good laugh. Come on, and I’ll introduce you to my step-mom. Just say, hi.”

When we walked into the house, Angie met us at the door. She hugged me, “How did you sleep last night?” Giving Donnie a smug look.

“Well, I slept very well. You need to ask Donnie how he slept.”

I looked at Donnie, expecting a blushing face, but instead, there was a big smile. “I slept very well. Matt has a very comfortable king-size bed. It was like sleeping in my bed.”

I softly chuckled to myself. He wasn’t going to let her tease him about us having sex. Just as he finished saying that to Angie, this older version of Angie stepped out of what I supposed was the kitchen.

“Matt, this is my mother.”

Now I was going to be a smart ass, “It’s nice to meet you, my mother.”

Whop, Donnie slapped me on the head. “He’s being a smart ass, Mom. You should have heard what he said to Dad when I introduced him. I think Dad thought I told Matt he was the president.”

Angie just laughed, “I think I’m going like you as my brother-in-law.”

Whoa, where did that comment come from? Donnie’s face turned red, “Don’t you think it’s a little too early to call me brother, Angie?”

“Hey, I know what I see, and I call it as I see it.”

“Would you boys like something to eat or drink?”

“Yes, something to drink would be nice, please.” I appreciated the break in that conversation. It was as if Donnie’s mother thought it was time to break in and end the potential of that conversation going further.

Over a cup of tea, we chatted about living in small towns. Angie’s mother came from a large city and commented it was difficult moving to a small town at first. But she has come to love having neighbors that speak to you. I was confused. I have never experienced neighbors that didn’t talk to you. I guess the confusion I had shown on my face,

“When you live in a big city, people tend to mind their own business and hardly speak to you.”

“I wouldn’t like living in a big city then. I like our neighbors.”

“Especially cute ones”

I looked at Donnie when he said that. I was hoping we wouldn’t get back on the topic of Donnie and me, but I guess that wasn’t going to happen.

“Donnie, let’s go to the coffee shop and see who’s hanging out there. Want to come along, Angie?”

I thanked Donnie’s mom for the tea, walking to the coffee shop, “Angie I didn’t appreciate the brother-in-law comment. It was embarrassing for Donnie and me.”

“I’m sorry if I embarrassed you, but that’s all Donnie talks about.”

“Angie you’re doing it again. I hardly know Donnie and spending one night together is not a honeymoon.”

“It could be depending on what the two of you did.”

“Can’t your drop this. We didn’t do anything. I’m not a girl who wants to have sex with everybody she likes. I guess you and Dave have already had sex. Tell me, what was it like to have a hard dick plow into you.” I was mad and wanted to shut her up. It wasn’t kind what I said, and it probably wasn’t true, but I wanted her to understand that whatever her intent was could also be turned around.

She stopped walking with us, I looked back, and Donnie was trying to comfort her. I heard him say, “You wouldn’t shut up, so he said that to shut you up. My relationship is private, just as your relationship with Dave is private. Why can’t you understand that?”

“I thought I was helping you.”

“You weren’t, and now you may have ruined what could be for me.”

I saw tears in Angie’s eyes, and now I felt like shit. “I’m sorry, Angie, I just wanted you to shut up about Donnie and me, forgive me.”

I waited for her reaction. “I’m sorry, Matt, I wanted Donnie to realize his dream of finding a great guy. I think you’d be a good guy for Donnie. I apologize for what I said.”

I pulled Angie into a hug, and just as I wrapped my arm around her, someone grabbed my arm and pulled me away. When I looked, there was Dave, and he wasn’t happy. Angie began to laugh, and even Donnie was laughing.

“Dave, you need to understand the difference between the type of hugs and the hug of a friend.” “I didn’t mean anything by hugging Angie, we had a misunderstanding, and the hug was our way of saying forgiven. I thought we discussed this last night.”

“I’m sorry, I just thought maybe.…”

“Stop; you need to have confidence and trust, Angie. She is the lucky one, well you’re lucky as well. Now let’s go and see who is hanging out at the coffee shop.”

When we arrived at the coffee shop, it was empty. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen this place empty at this time of the day.”

“Maybe something happened, and all of the guys are there. Dave, check with Brian.”

Dave called Brian. I noticed the look on Dave’s face. When he stopped talking, “What is it, Dave?”

“There was some damage at the Turner’s. The guys are there helping out.”

“Let’s go and see what we can do. I’ll call my mother, and she can drive us over.”

We waited about 10 minutes before my mom arrived. Getting in the car, Dave told my mom about the damage at Turners. When we arrived, we saw the damage. Their house was ok, but the lean-to, which sheltered their chickens, was torn apart, and chickens were running all over the property. I laughed as Brian was chasing the chickens into a rigged enclosure.

“It looks like a round-up of chickens. Let’s help to fix the corral as Brian and the rest of the guys herd those cattle to the corral.”

Donnie starts to laugh as he began to set poles back up. The fenced area fell when the rainwater washed away some of the ground. The poles then collapsed along with the fence. Chickens fled, probably were scared as a result of the rain.

“Dave, we need to reset the poles. Ask Mr. Turner for a shovel so we can re-dig the post holes.”

“Donnie, let’s see if any of the fence needs repair while Dave brings a shovel.”

“There’s Dave, and it looks like he has a pole digger.”

When Dave arrived, he started to re-dig the holes. As he cleared one hole, Donnie and I reset the post, I held it, Donnie packed the earth back in the hole. We switched around, so everyone got a chance to dig.

“Dave, you should mention to Mr. Turner that if he cemented the posts in, he wouldn’t have to have a chicken ranch.”

Cemented posts could stand the floods, but you need to be concerned about the wood rotting in the alkaline cement. We spent about 4 hours fixing the fence and rounding up chickens. The Turners were grateful and provided a nice lunch for us all. Dave, being Dave, offered to help rebuild the lean-to for the chickens. The Turners had two children, but they lived in a different state, married with children. They appreciated our help and showed it by providing lunch.

Awesome chapter. Matt and Donnie are on the way to be friends possibly more. Annie has a big mouth, I think she's learnt her lesson when Matt told her to shut up like he did.

LOL When I was about 5 I had to help "round-up" about 20 chickens at my Grandmother's farm. Never laughed so much, but we got it done.

Poor Donnie. What he wants is right there, but he has to be restrained because the balance is so precarious. Or at least, it seems so right now. So sad. So hard. But hope springs eternal.
