Poems of Reflection - 5. Chapter 5: Mindset of Reality

Love is supposed to be everything you need
Sadly, love isn’t enough to give you what want
Neither is trust, compromise, or patience
The only one thing that’s enough

Peace of mind,
It’s something that can’t be explained
It’s either something you have or you don’t
If you have it, nothing else matters
If you don’t, you must achieve it by any means.

Yes, it can cost you a lot, but so does marriage
So does kids and a mortgage; it's all apart of life
A life none of us signed up for
With an unbearable amount of stress,
More than we care to admit to.

Best thing we can do is rely on ourselves
Our strength that’s deep inside us as well as others
Others who support and depend on us, our strength
The truth is a peace of mind is the one thing that
Makes all of the unbearable pain worth it.
