Cove of Quiet Things - 1. Chapter 1

A serene, introspective poem where the speaker finds clarity, wisdom, and emotional grounding through the metaphor of a faithful cove. It blends nature imagery with philosophical questioning, ultimately arriving at peace.

Cove of Quiet Things

O’ gentle cove where my thoughts drift slow,

You cradle every whisper I dare to know.

In your stillness, truth rises like morning air,

Soft, unhurried, untouched by despair.

Your waters gather the fragments I hide,

Carrying them calmly from side to side.

No judgment stirs within your glassy sweep,

Only the promise of secrets you keep.

I walk your edge when my spirit bends,

Seeking the solace only nature lends.

And you, in your patience, speak without sound—

A language of peace where my heart is found.

O’ quiet cove, eternal and wise,

You mirror the storms behind my eyes.

Yet in your reflection, I finally see—

The calm I chase has always been in me.
