Indeed, the part about how this new discovery was abused was chillingly realistic, and I'm still a bit worried about getting nightmares over this story. And let's not forget there are still plenty of cases where the LGBT are persecuted, including losing their jobs, homes, and lives. To me no state, country, nation or religion may call itself modern or civilised or humane, if they do not do their best to protect their citizens / members from such bigotry and evil. Your story is a great reminder of the dangers of ignorance and intolerance.

Thanks again, Tim, and I agree wholeheartedly. My opinion is that in 50 years we'll look back at the Westboro Baptist Church and those that were so fervently against gay rights in the same light as we look back at those who opposed the Civil Rights movement, such as George Wallace and Lester Maddox.
