all i did was want
i wanted you for myself
and nobody else.
you said you were a free spirit
yet you are held back
held back by yourself.
i am held back
not by myself
but by society.
we are similar
different
but similar.
life is too short
too short to be held back
held back by abstract restraints.
restrained by abstract repression
your captivity can be seen
seen only by the chosen.
you are stuck in fantasy
waiting for the path
the path to realism.
i live in reality
the truth
deprived of simple fantasy.
knowing the struggle
the struggle of being stuck
stuck between worlds.
you are no expert
i am no pundit
we are the inept.
