At the End of the Day - 5. Good Morning
As the sun rises,
The world welcomes its touch.
Shadows lengthen;
To escape their imminent destruction by the light.
I wonder at the power of creation.
Hope is found at last.
As the sun reaches its zenith,
The world basks in its light and glory.
Shadows dispelled;
No longer able to hide from the light.
I wonder at the power of creation.
It is overwhelming.
As the sun sets,
The world mourns its passing.
Shadows encroach;
Prepared to dance at the death of the light.
I wonder at the power of creation.
Both light and shadow are eternal.
The phoenix rises,
I witness the dawn of impossible creation,
A soul of impossible brilliance,
Powerful.
Hopeful.
Overwhelming.
Fast approaching his zenith.
His light, his glory becoming ever more apparent.
In the flames the shadows disperse,
Intolerable in the presence of so magnificent a creature.
I wonder at the power of creation.
I wonder at the power of creation.
One day the shadows may encroach.
They will believe the phoenix has departed.
I wonder at the power of creation.
For I know, as the light and shadow,
The phoenix too is eternal.
