Helpless - 1. Chapter 1

That sudden feeling that something is wrong,

It comes on fast, giving little warning.

Heart races, clammy palms, the icy sweat of fear clings to skin that seems too hot, yet it is freezing cold.

Its coming!

Words are beyond speech.

Lips too numb, sounds tumble out in a mix of slurs and animal like whimpers.

Its here!

Panic …

The car…work…where’s the kid… can’t think…

Moments, just a tiny fraction of time before… helplessness…

Eyes glance,

Who is here? Will they run? Will they stay? What will they think? What will they say?

What if…

Its too late!

Darkness sweeps in…

Tremors…

Fear…

Will I be the same when it ends?

Thank you for reading

I think I recognise this feeling, KC. It's terrible when it grips you, huh? Hope you're feeling OK really. You write with great power, honesty and precision and say it all so directly. Thanks for sharing.

I remember when you said you had gone through this again. I wouldn't wish this sort of panic and fear on anyone. Glad you did come out of it alright though.

Writing therapy...it's almost as frightening as the actual seizure. Leave myself open and raw. Real life is so much scarier than fantasy. Thanks for reading

KC, I have nothing to add to what Wayne and crj said. I wonder though, which is worse, fearing the seizure to happen again or it actually happening. You are strong. Thank you for sharing, since I use writing as outlet too, I understand the importance and the raw feeling it leaves you with very well.

I know we've talked before about how open and vulnerable I feel about writing about my real life. You understand, I hope the people that don't know me don't judge me too harsh. Thanks Maria

I really feel for you KC  You're one of life's survivers. And I know from my own experiences writing it down helps. I have tons of stuff that will never get posted. If you ever need a shoulder or an ear....well you know
