The Collection: A story through poetry. - 2. Those Aimless, Helpless People
These submissions are as much about the good poetry and the not so good. This is one of the latter in my opinion.
This world is stuck in a rut
with beauty the way to get out.
These lives, are circling and spinning
trying to find a way out of here.
I see the hopeless and the lonely
fighting for some reason, fighting just to stay alive.
cause theres a struggle. sand as they go down
they find out. theres nothing left of who they were.
because freedom only goes to the ones with the faces.
faces like they've never seen.
and they're not allowed to fly like that,
they're not allowed to dream.
there is one hope, but nobody can see it
nobody wants to help themselves.
and I cant help, feeling like nothing is gonna save them.
nothing ever saves the damned.
Bitterness and anger are two strong emotions. And for people who fail to see the beauty in themselves, life can be a never ending cycle of bitter pain.
