In 1995, Sam, a shy, young nurse, begins work at Ash Hollow, a remote psychiatric hospital in mountainous Pennsylvania. There, he meets Jack, an intense patient whose disturbing drawings hint at something far darker than schizophrenia. Jack insists his ex-lover, Gabriel, has been taken by the hospital’s secret reprogramming project—and may still be alive somewhere inside.
As Sam falls for Jack, he must choose between safety and love, risking everything to uncover the truth buried beneath Ash Hollow before it swallows them both.
