  2. Heart

By AusGlitterati, in Fiction. 08/26/2018 (Updated: 05/17/2019)

When the brain fails, the heart is often the one that picks up the pieces. Tyson is suicidal, angry and so, so lonely. After an attempt on his own life, he faces brief hospitalisation in the Acute Inpatient Unit with other teenagers. The staff are wonderful and his treatment team goes above and beyond to provide help and support, but what he needs most is a friend. He finds Vladimir, a boy who battles schizophrenia and psychotic episodes. He's perfect.

  3. Chicago Wildlife

By Young Sage, in Fiction. 05/05/2019 (Updated: 05/14/2019)

For Camp NaNoWriMo, I had to write 10,000 words in 30 days. The result is two short stories in one. Here they are. Disappearance is a world class thief with ragdoll-like superpowers, and he has his eyes on the Nano Wrimo Diamond. Follow him as he encounters many world building...er, I mean, colorful distractions along the way, meeting up with basic characters that I'll flesh out in future stories...er...complex human beings who can't be boiled down to one or two character traits, and flop flop flop all the way to the bank (figuratively; the diamond is in a museum)! Just think of Disappearance as Male!Catwoman and you'll be all set.

  4. Zero to Hero, a Guide

By AC Benus, in Non-Fiction. 01/15/2019 (Updated: 05/13/2019)

A step-by-step course to teach yourself the art of Writing Poetry

  5. Because We’re Here

By J.D Sazz, in Fiction. 04/26/2019 (Updated: 04/28/2019)

Amy Smith can’t feel much emotion. Not really. He’s... numb. He’s gotten through his seventeen years of life mostly analyzing people’s behavior and acting accordingly. Like an insider looking out. Looking out through a window. And looking out through a window can get boring. Really boring. Everyone that passes through is the same. They say the same words, do the same things. Amy just wants to not stand out, and it’s pretty simple, really. Too simple. And it is, until he catches the attention of another guy with troubles of his own.

  6. Finding Joy

By AC Benus, in Spring - Into the Stars. 04/28/2019 (Updated: 04/28/2019)

A couple arrive at a crossroads in their relationship, with one of them poised to end her postdoctoral education and "start life". She's not so sure about the baby her wife wants though, working with kids and their parents facing huge health issues as an MD, but she starts having a series of mysterious dreams involving a wise little girl.

**This story touches upon issues of difficult pregnancies and miscarriage. Please proceed with caution if you find these topics upsetting.**

Connor is a miserable guy. He hates his job, hates his family, his girlfriend, and pretty much everyone else too. Then he finds a naked boy in his backyard with a serious case of amnesia, and slowly, Connor begins to care. But the boy has secrets. Someone is hunting him, and lights appear in the sky. 12. Quoth the Raven

    By AmosLee1023, in Fiction. 03/12/2019 (Updated: 03/12/2019)

"What do you want," Tommy asked, looking at the shadow with his eyes, watching it as it paused to a stop in front of him, its large black beak turning slightly to the side.

Its beak opened only a crack, and human screaming of men and women, children and infants, leaked out. Screaming, and sobbing, and maniacal laughing that all filled Tommy's ears with a rotten, disgusting feeling, and replacing the ticking of Toni's clock- loud enough to wake the whole neighborhood, yet only wrecking havoc upon Tommy.

Tommy Fish, a guy with a talent for relentless bullying and hatred, gets help from the devil to bully his favorite kid, indefinitely.
