2007 Anthology Poem

I debated about submitting this for a long time, and in the end I decided I would. It was written a while ago, and I have only changed a couple of lines for this submission. Writing this was therapeutic and done almost as a stream-of-consciousness, so forgive me if parts of it seem incongruous or contradictory.

This is a beautifully written and very powerful free-verse poem about a young man who has returned to his childhood home in order to sell it.  Being there brings back many memories, some good and others bad, and as he walks through town he silently fights with the demons from his past.  This is a very moving and thought provoking poem, and I hope you all take the time to read it.
