Reasons - Prologue. Prologue
"Uncle Matty Uncle Mikey you're here you're here you're here!!!!"
Matt Taylor walked into his parents' house holding luggage and bags of presents -- so his little nephew Ian, 3 years (and 10 months!) old, jumped into Matt's husband's arms instead. Matt (or MJ or MJT or Three -- he had a lot of nicknames) watched his Mike, his newly minted husband, grab Ian in his arms and hoist him up toward the ceiling. For a quick moment, MJ's sister looked at him with a scared/horrified look, but as soon as it came, it was gone. Mike was fantastic with kids, and he wouldn't hurt anyone or anything.
It was another Thanksgiving -- THE most important holiday in the Taylor family. Both Matt and his sister spent Christmas with their respective in-laws, so the Taylor parents pull out all the stops for Thanksgiving -- there's at least two turkeys and no leftovers.
As Matt looked around the room at his family, especially Mike holding Ian high above his 6'4" frame, his mind wandered back to the windy turn of events that led here.
