Sub-genres: Adventure

Colorado has 54 mountains over 14,000 feet high and this weekend Aaron and Seth plan to climb one of them. Their goal is to reach the summit of Torreys Peak via the infamous route up Dead Dog Couloir. Aaron’s sure they’re prepared for whatever challenges the mountain holds. Seth has less experience, but he trusts Aaron to get him safely up to the summit and back down. They both make choices along the way that teach them about themselves and one another.

User Feedback

Don't know how I missed this story - but at least it was complete when I read it. Such skillful use of the settting and the climbing to illustrate the relationship between the two guys, impressive.

And I understood why Seth got insecure, but at the same time I could relate to Aaron's point of view about bi men having this kind of problem. I think one of the best parts was the fact that they didn't spend days worrying in silence, but actually tackled the issue almost immediately. Aaron didn't dismiss Seth's feelings as silly, and Seth trusted that his boyfriend was sincere. All of this tells me that they will make it as a long term couple. Wouldn't mind revisiting them in a cosier setting :P

Thanks for this great feedback. Maybe I should add an epilogue on the first night in their new place together.
