Chris Ryan has hit rock bottom and started to dig. Lost in a labyrinth of pain he no longer knows how to leave, he has lost the ability to hope. How did he get here and can he get out? This is his story.
They say you should write what you know. This is hard for me because what I have mostly known is pain, and it makes for tough reading let alone writing.
This story is partly my way of working through the wreckage of my past, and facing two questions that have plagued me; what choices do you really have in the face of a world of hurt, and can those choices ultimately make you free?
Chris is not me though we have a lot in common, and I have used a writers prerogative to grant him more insight and redemption than I had.
If you are looking for happily ever after this is not for you. If however you want to read about real characters with flaws facing challenges seemingly beyond them but still fighting, then maybe join Chris in the Labyrinth.
