We'd probably all feel the same way if we found out the guy-or girl we like has Dorian's background of wealth and affluence.


Uhm, no :huh: and what's the difference between wealth and affluence - or did you mean influence?
But maybe that's a difference between Denmark and USA / Britain. :unsure: We're not awed by people's parents being rich, we're more likely to make sure they don't get away with being stuck up (look up Janteloven). I would more likely admire a potential boyfriend for keeping quiet about his connections or his parents' wealth. So to me Wes is being silly.
