This is a 1-shot spinoff from "The Year I Stopped Being Invisible." It doesn't really fit in the continuity, so just think of it as a "deleted scene" with Rick and Taine. It might give more insight into the "real" Rick and Taine than the main story, but isn't part of the storyline.
Warning: This story takes place in San Antonio, Texas in 1981, and contains some derogatory/insensitive racial terms used by teenaged characters which may cause offense to some readers. Please do not read this story if this sort of language offends you.
