Roses Poetry Book - 1. Chapter 1: LIstening

This and Scars was originally posted in the poetry section on GA. I decided to just shove it all together.

. Please, don't complain and don't belittle. I'm not quite sure about the rating, so I decided to go with it since it's not too graphic.

My heart beats slowly
My blood flows silently
My tears drip quietly.

The blade sits upon the side,
Glistening red and silver,
Waiting to cut again.

Your picture lies upon the floor,
A smiling couple lay behind
The broken and shattered glass.

The water runs,
And drains
Taking with it the red.

I smile slowly,
As I lay in the
Red, red water.

I look at the picture,
Then at the blade,
Then at the water.

I close my eyes
And welcome the warm,
Comforting darkness.

My heart beats no more
My blood flows never again,
My tears are dried.

Sorrow smiles softly
As Death swoops by close
And Jealousy leaves this world with a sigh.

The author would like to respectfully remind you that she owns this poem. If she finds said poem any where where SHE herself didn't put it, she will sue with a smile on her face. So please, no complaining.
