The Tide Began to Rise - Repost - 5. Chapter 5

I stood in the doorway. What should I be feeling? Should I be happy and joyful that I am going to be sitting next to him, or should I be feeling horrified? At this moment it is the latter. I couldn’t move. I couldn’t breathe. Then came the voice. Somehow I recognized it. Then I realized whose voice it was. It was Mr. Snodgrass.

“Mr. Cox, will you be so kind a take the remaining seat next to Mr. Macomb.”

“Huh…………………ok, yeah, sure.”

I slowly made my way back to the desk. I tried my best not to stare at Brent, but he is just so good looking. I sat down and just looked straight forward. When I wasn’t looking at him, he was on my mind.

“OK class, we are going to go ahead and jump right in. We are going to take a short quiz to see what you all remember. Based on what questions everyone gets right and wrong, will determine where we will start. If only a few people miss a question we won’t spend any time on it. I will find another way to help those people understand that.” Said Mr. Snodgrass.

He went to his desk and grabbed the stack of quizzes. He walked around the room and placed one on everyone desk. As he passed them out, he told us that we may begin as soon as we get ours. When he handed me mine, I looked it over. I knew everything on it. I was expecting to at least get some questions on stuff I didn’t know.

I worked through each problem at a steady pace. Some problems were easier than others. When I was done I raised my hand and Snodgrass came to my desk and picked up my quiz. I was the 1st to finish.

He took the quiz back to his desk and graded it. I looked over and saw Brent was struggling. I looked at his paper and saw that he was only on the third problem. The wheels in my head began to turn. “This could be my way to talk to him.” As I watched him work, I noticed that either was not trying or he was trying and was getting all the answers wrong.

That bell rang to signal class was over. Brent was still working. I thought, tomorrow when we get the quiz back I will offer to tutor him.

The rest of the day was boring. My last two classes had both brie and Brad in them. That was pretty cool. Now I have some people to goof off with. Yeah I know, I should be paying attention, but it is so hard sometimes.

I decided not to go anywhere after school today. My dad was pissed that I did yesterday. How dare I have a life outside of serving him! I went home and did my normal chores. I did the dishes, cleaned up the living room, did the laundry, and vacuumed the entire house. As I did my normal cleaning, if I saw anything that was messy, I would clean it up. The entire time I was cleaning, both Tristan and Peter were mocking me. Tristan would dirty something just so I would have to extra work to do.

My mom made dinner, and for the first time in a long time, I ate with the family. For a moment I felt like a member of the family, and not the miss treated maid.

Of course, after dinner I had to clean up. Then I went to my room and waited for midnight. I went down to the alley and fed Patch. I told him my plan. When I did his tail began to wag really fast. I figured that was his way of telling me that he liked my idea. After a while I told him good night and headed home.

I woke up the next morning with a sense of something that I didn’t recognize. I was excited. I was looking forward to math class. I went to the bath room and got in the shower. I began to rub and tug on my cock. I had to masturbate to the image of Brent naked. I have seen that once, but that image is burned into my cornea.

When I was done, I went and got dressed. I headed for school. My dad was home this morning and I didn’t want to have to deal with him until I had to.

When I got to school, I went straight to the cafeteria to get some food. I was starving by the time that I got there. While I was eating Brad showed up. He got some food and joined me.

“Tyler, homie, how’s it going?”

“Pretty good. It’s only the third day of school, so it can’t be all bad yet.”

“Yeah that’s true. Wana hang out after school? We can go back to my place and play video games.”

“That sounds like fun. I will have to ask my dad though.”

“Ok that’s cool.”

As brad finished speaking the bell rang. We both said later to each other and we went our separate ways. Of course I was getting homework in each of my classes. It’s Friday, so naturally all of the teachers have to try and ruin our weekend. When lunch came around, I decided to just get some ala carte and get as much of the work done as possible. My friends sat around me and talked. They would periodically call me a nerd then go back to what they were talking about.

The bell rang and Brad and I went to math class. We got there got there pretty early. So we got two seats in the back. Brent came in shortly after us and sat next to me. “Oh my god, oh my god. Two days in a row.” I thought to myself. Mr. Snodgrass came in and took attendance.

“OK class; to make this attendance thing a lot easier for me, I am going to have a seating chart. Now I can either assign the seats myself, or we can stay in these seats. What do you think?”

Everyone looked around them, then almost in unison; the entire class said “stay in these seats.”

“Ok sounds good to me……………..I’m going to hand back your quizzes. I wrote notes on some of them. Be sure to look for those. While I’m giving these back, I will pass around a seating chart. Write your name so that I can read it, in the seat that you are sitting in right now.”

He passed the seating chart around while he called out each person’s name to give them back their quiz. When I got mine back, I saw that I had gotten a 100% on it. There was also a note that said “Good Job, You’re the only one to get them all right.”

Once all the quizzes were out, we started with the lesson. I didn’t pay much attention. I really didn’t need to. When the bell rang, Snodgrass called out what our homework was. Then he asked if Mr. Macomb would stay after for a moment. When I heard that, I “accidentally” dumped my bag on the floor. I started cleaning up. Brent went up to Mr. Snodgrass desk.

“What did you want me to stay for?”

“It’s about your quiz. You got none of the questions right. So I need to figure out a way to help you understand this stuff. I don’t want to, but I think that it will come to keeping you after school.

“What? No, I’m not going to stay after school to learn math.”

“If I recommend that you should; then you will.”

“There has to be another way.”

When I heard that I perked up.

“Mr. Snodgrass” I said.

“Oh Tyler, right? What are you still doing here?”

“I had to pick up my stuff………I can help Brent with math. I got a 100 on the quiz. I’m more then willing to help him, if that’s ok with him.”

“What do you say to that Brent?” Asked Snodgrass

“Defiantly…..I mean……..er…………..as long as I don’t have to stay after school to learn this crap.”

“Ok then, I will let you two set it up. As long as I see an improvement, you won’t have to stay after. Now here is a pass for you next class.”

He filled out a pass and handed it to Brent. I waited for mine.

“Tyler, I was wondering if we could talk for a minute?”

Shit. I know where this is going, and I don’t like it. How am I going to get out of this?
