Seventeen year-old Will Waters came out in a small Idaho town when he was fifteen. The story details the consequences and the actions Will takes to deal with the rejection of his family, his church, and his friends.

A large part of A Matter of Perspective is made up of emails between two people.  The emails may or may not be real because the circumstances surrounding them are unclear.  The author's research related to the characters (whose names have been changed), the places (which have been changed), and the dates and times (which have been changed) cannot be verified.  For that reason, this book is published as fiction until such time that facts prove otherwise.
