Well... I'm moving back to the city I want to be in. I start my new job on 7/7. I am moving this week. As such, I have been spending a LOT of time packing and going through my junk. I have more books than I thought possible. I'm going to need a large room just to hold them all. Let's see... I have also been working on the Story Archive. There are some very major updates coming soon there. It will also be the first place we deploy the new logo. Steph has been working hard on getting that new system to work. Meanwhile, I've been working on the interface to allow all registered users to suggest updates to the archive and suggest new stories for it. When I'm all done, it will be a lot more member-friendly and should be the place people go to find the stories they want to read. I'll write more when I'm settled in. Myr

Ugh. I've got a little problem lately that I can't seem to get under control. I can't sit still. This makes working on anything rather difficult as I have the most trouble sitting in my desk chair. Motivation to do so is also somewhat lacking. I can't force myself to focus on much of anything lately. I'm hoping that it has just been the crappy weather we've had all week. Today, I have a nice long list of things I plan on working on. I'm mowing the lawn, cleaning the basement, cleaning my room, (and other forms of spring cleaning), and I also plan on knocking off a few of the things on my list for the site. Keep your fingers crossed! Tomorrow, I plan on taking some pictures of the great outdoors. It is supposed to be sunny and nice. Anyhoo, I might be posting some of my writing updates soon. They are not ready for the site, but they might prove to some people that I have been doing at least a little writing lately

Yikes! It has been awhile, hasn't it? For those of you that don't know this by now, I get up about an hour early every morning to take care of emails and other Site related stuff. I generally eat breakfast while doing this. Then it is all day at work. When I get home, I boot back up the computer and spend an hour or two taking care of email and posts on the site. This is every weekday. Weekends are much the same, except I don't have to go to work. Lately, I have been writing. I'm working on 3 different stories at the moment. A new Psionic Corp future state (spaceship future) that I haven't titled yet; a Valdemar (by Mercedes Lackey) FanFiction that is set between Brightly Burning and Exile's Valor in that time frame where there is nothing cannon; and the Harry Potter and the Parliament of Dreams Chapter 3 rewrite. I am also working on eliminating problems on the Gay Authors site and designing a new look that is easy and straightforward to navigate and find things. In the meantime, I have put some search functions in to make it easier for people to find things. In addition to all that, I'm keeping my eye on the future. There is some new software that I'm testing for the site. There are a raft of software updates for the site that I will be installing this weekend. I will be taking a break to get more achievements on my Xbox 360 though. Hopefully, none of you begrudge me that.

So, this past weekend I went to see Rambo. holy cow, was that movie ever graphic. Extremely graphic. and it was pretty good too. This weekend sees the opening of two things I've wanted to see. Spiderwick Chronicles and Jumper. The more I watch the trailer for Jumper, the more I want to see. http://media.movies.ign.com/media/033/033924/vids_1.html Hayden Christiansan shirtless is probably enough... but you also have the uber cool Samuel L Jackson in it. Anyhoo, I will be seeing both this weekend. And a trip to see hockey as well.

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had fun. Is it really 2008 so soon? I am really starting to feel old! I'm now only 4 months out from turning 31. Yikes! I never figured I'd get this far. There are a great number of things that I would like to get to this year. There is just so much stuff to do. Writing, site stuff, work, looking for work... I'm getting a little tired of the same old boring routine. But I'm not sure I want to get out of the routine either. Ugh. Here's to a prosperous 2008 for all of us!

I just wanted to say Merry Christmas to everyone! I hope you have a great day!

I've had a busy little day today. I got a bunch of stuff done around the house. I went to see "I Am Legend". It was good, but weird. Interesting story concept at least. I also got some time in with Mass Effect today. I'm looking to get more done with that tomorrow. I did manage to focus a bit on Gay Authors today. I worked on the letter and poll I'm setting up for the end of the year. Right now, I'm working on installing a major new program that is a beta. It is looking like it will be a very powerful update for Gay Authors when the software finally is released. I'll spend some time tomorrow working on that. Did anyone see the short story chunk I posted last week? I didn't get any comments on it.

I now have a nice 4 day weekend. I have a lot of things on my list of things to do. A lot of it is writing tasks. Keep your fingers crossed. I will also be devoting a lot of time to playing Xbox 360. I think I will mostly be focusing on getting the rest of the achievements for Mass Effect. Though, I will also hit up a few other games. I'm going to crash and start my day early tomorrow.

There is just one more day this week of work. Thank God! There is so much junk food at work that you can't walk two feet without tripping over some. It's driving me crazy. Tomorrow is the official office party. (tons more food) I spent the last two nights baking for it myself. I will finally have some rest and relaxation time for myself this weekend. Except for wrapping the gifts, I'm home free for 3 of the next 4 days. I'm going to work on some writing and more Mass Effect gaming, I think. I'm off to do the dishes.

Today was a long long long day. I'm about written out, because I had to do a lot of career type things. (resume, cover letters, stuff). So, this is short and sweet. Catch you tomorrow. Myr

Well, it is the end of another day and time for a little stream of conciousness. I have officially completed my Christmas shopping. I hate Christmas shopping for my family because, frankly, if someone in my family wants something, they go get it. But, as I said, I'm done. I now just need to spend the evening tomorrow wrapping everything. I will also spend some time in the kitchen cooking up some gifts for some friends at work. Stardust (and the Simpsons Movie) hit DVD today. If you haven't seen Stardust, it is kind of a wild ride. It is funny and Robert DeNiro plays so far against type that you end up staring at the screen in shock a few times because it is so unexpected. It is also a very gay friendly movie. (Sir Ian McKellen (Gandulf/Magneto/Famous Gay Actor) is the narrator) What else? It seems that every time I get home from work, stuff I have to do here just piles up. I get to work on it and I look at the clock and it is time to go to bed again. Where the hell does all the time go? Anyway, I have a nice 4 day weekend coming up. I am hoping in getting some more writing done during that little break. I also want to finish off most of the achievements for Mass Effect before the end of the year. If you look at my little Gamertag, you'll notice that I haven't actually been playing games lately. Something else always seems to be coming up. Do you Zune yet?

Well. It has been one hell of a day today. Nothing bad happened. Nothing great happened. But the day moved along fairly quickly. Getting out of the driveway this morning was a grand adventure. I had to dig my way to my car. The snow was to my knees. The snowdrifts were to my waist. I got stuck and had to rock my car back and forth a little. Once I was lined up, I had to pretty much gun it, cross my fingers and hope for the best. The fishtales of snow streaming out of both sides of the front of my car were a sight to see. I won't eloborate on the lack of plowed roads for the drive into work Work zipped by and I got a decent amount accomplished. I had to put in for my last personal day on 12/24. Cheap bastards again. Though, I am making them open the building for me 12/31. (I'm salary... they say the facility is closed, but salary people have to report. It is there way to get us to take days off. I'm out. So, I'm going to work. I won't be doing much except cleaning up my file drawers and catching up on magazines. I did spend a little time today working on the site. There is a large number of things I've wanted to do, but I keep putting off. I finally started doing some of them. One of the things I am planning on doing is emailing the entire membership a quick survey. The purpose of the survey will be to determine what people like and don't like about Gay Authors. Remembe to check your email address and make sure it works. I've also spent time today working on organizing my writing. I have so many partial stories and chunks floating around that it is hard to find the particular one that I'm looking for. No longer. I can find things fairly easily now. I've also begun quick outlines for all 4 anthology stories for next year. I'm hoping to turn in a story for each. I mentioned in the past that I plan on making Psionic Corp a series of stand alone stories featuring Ian and perhaps other characters. One of the things I'm thinking rather strongly of at the moment is to do a stand alone Psionic Corp story for all 4 anthology themes for 2008. I'm in the process of rewriting chapters 1 and 2 of Psionic Corp and blending it with the other stuff I have already written to create: Psionic Corp: First Son. Comments are welcome.

I try to avoid shopping as much as possible. On occasion though, I simply must go to the store. At times like these, I'm thankful for Wegmans. If you don't have one in your area, Wegmans is a grocery store chain here in the NY/PA/NJ area. They tend to cater to middle and upper middle class neighborhoods. They have also been consistently in the top 10 employers in the USA for the last 10 years. (including number 1). Anyway, they tend to have the higher quality teen males working for them. (good wage and college scholarships). The amount of eyecandy in these stores on weekends is... well... staggering. Any way... other than getting some shopping done... this day has been pretty quiet. I have been doing some more writing world details for my new writing venture. (future of Psionic Corp universe) I'm off to enjoy the great big snowstorm.

As some people know, I enjoy gaming when I get the time. While I'm not head-over-heels in love with FPS's, I do have Halo3, and a few similar games. Gay Gaymer (For boys who like boys who like joysticks), has a little video showing how bad it can get for gay guys online. (Part of it, was the purposefully named "gayboy" gamer tag. Still, it is rather shocking... I bet even for a sailor. I'll ask Dan. ) http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2007/11/29/ne...ive-trash-talk/ When I'm xbox live, I have occasionally reported people that were being abusive, but I've never really run into anything as bad as this video. Well everyone... it hasn't happened in 14 years... I'm going on vacation. I will be worshiping at the Alter of the Mouse in sunny Orlando, Florida. Please behave. I do not intend to be online at all and if anything happens that requires me to get called on vacation... let's just say that you will no longer be a member... I have lots of plans and lots of stuff on tap for when I get back. I should be nice and refreshed after 9 days away from the Internet and depressing news. I am spending a number of days at the Happiest Place on Earth, after all. Be good! Myr

I always seem to forget about this blog. I get myself tied up working on something or another and don't come back for months at a time. So, since my last entry. I have moved into my new townhouse and started a new job. My new company is still going balls to the wall, despite the slowing economy. They are holding back from hiring many more people to try to insulate from issues in the future. I'm personally very busy. As for the site, we have been doing a lot behind the scenes and some things visibly. Steph has been a great help with the new skins. My current work project is converting Comicality's site over to the new design. Again, thanks to Steph for making things pretty. (check out the gone From Daylight parts... those are done) I have been writing some. I'm hoping to have something to post before the end of the year. That's it for now.
