This is a game where you try to take over the world, or at least keep others from doing so. The game resets every month on the 21st and all claims are lost in the process, here are the rules: 1- First Come, First Serve= Only 30 players per round for solely for my sanity's sake(waiting line is one round ahead only for fairness). Whatever land you first claim becomes your home territory and is yours, within reason, example: you cant claim large tracts of land from the get-go. You must also declare your army type: Legion, Phalanx, Nomad, or Barbarian, these meanings will be explained later on in the rules. 2- Land Acquiring= you can claim one piece of land a day that is connected to a territory you have already claimed, no bigger than a small country, or state for the bigger countries. After your first claim of the game, you can only claim surrounding areas NOTE: Land only, waterways and other bodies of water cannot be claimed. 3- Land Disputes= When two people want a territories, they will face off at the end of the day, the result will depend on factors such as terrain, surrounding territory, and army type(Legion beats Barbarian beats Nomad beats Phalanx beats Legion). Home territories can only be taken over if it is the only territory the defending player has left. NOTE: land disputes cannot happen until after the fifth day of the round. 4-Events= On any given day an event can be given, and they remain in affect for 24 hours(rounded back(10:47am{10:00am)). These events can range from everyone can claim two territories, to certain armies get the advantage for the day, to no land claims for the day. These events can change anything but the winning and cheating rules, so watch out. 5-Winning= Whoever claims 25 territories, 15 territories through battle, or has the most at the end or the round, will be crowned world emperor. If the game ends before the end of the round the game will continue, though neither the Emperor, nor their lands can participate. Emperors are not allowed to participate in the next round after they claim the world throne, for reasons of fairness. 6-Cheating= If someone cheats, they are given two warnings per round, afterwards, all land claims are forefit, they cannot participate in the current and next, and forego the first warning and to do so again you shall forego the second one as well. Those that are repeated offenders will lose their titles (if they do posses titles)and cant participate for an extra round.
Army Strength= Each territory has its own army, and the base strength of an army will be 5. An attacking army gets a +1 for every territory the attacking player has that touches the attacked territory, and defending territories get an automatic +1 for defending and an additional +1 for every territory the defending player has that touches the defending territory. Terrain will affect how a battle turns out, Defending mountainous areas give a +1, attacking from plains give a +1, and each army type has its own terrain type that gives it a +1: Mountains give a +1 to Phalanxes, plains give a +1 to Nomads, forests give a +1 to Barbarians, and hills give a +1 to Legions. Home territories get a +3, and territories that are surrounded by either enemy or friendly territories receive a +1. Facing an army that you are strong against (example Legion facing Barbarian) you get a +2, while facing an army that you are neutral against (example Phalanx facing Barbarian), neither gets an advantage.
Sea Travel= When conducting sea travel, you must declare what you are doing, but must wait one turn for the action to be done (example turn 1 - "invades England", turn 2 - actually attacks England)
The first round will be in Europe for the purpose of a trial run. The territories will be numbered so no one has to remember a great many deal of names. And here is the map
