I really liked them. They were kind of modern, I suppose. You even used Twitter in one. I always think poetry is so ancient and foreign. It isn't. Especially limericks. I'll probably speak with you more indepth, you mentioned true limericks are obscene. My middle name is obscene, so...

I'm surprised there aren't other comments here, people must be in awe. More Mike, more!

Thanks for your comments, Chase. I tried to do a little with current events that readers could relate to. I think the golfer may be the best example of that. Limericks take a while to write...at least for me...but I got a lot of satisfaction from the end result of my efforts.

Now that you have disclosed your middle name, we all understand better what makes you tick. :P

I like the limericks! And I was especially pleased that you used "orange" as a rhyme word. :)

Hey Mike I just read your limericks. Enjoyed them all. Please add more to your list. Oh and another love poem please.

Thanks Corvus and Sam. I'm glad you enjoyed the limericks. They were fun to write despite the additional effort. It's not at all like writing more typical poetry. The best thing about them is their brevity. The 30 lines I posted took longer to produce than any other 30 lines of poetry I've done...not that I have much experience. "Orange" was fun.

My real hope is that these limericks will have enough appeal that others will try their hand at writing some.
