MikeL
I have published a selection of Limericks in the poetry section. Please read them (and laugh a little if so inclined) here and comment in this forum. Thank you. Link to comment
thatboyChase
I really liked them. They were kind of modern, I suppose. You even used Twitter in one. I always think poetry is so ancient and foreign. It isn't. Especially limericks. I'll probably speak with you more indepth, you mentioned true limericks are obscene. My middle name is obscene, so... I'm surprised there aren't other comments here, people must be in awe. More Mike, more! Link to comment
corvus
I like the limericks! And I was especially pleased that you used "orange" as a rhyme word. Link to comment

I think the golfer may be the best example of that. Limericks take a while to write...at least for me...but I got a lot of satisfaction from the end result of my efforts. Now that you have disclosed your middle name, we all understand better what makes you tick. Link to comment

MikeL
I like the limericks! And I was especially pleased that you used "orange" as a rhyme word. Hey Mike I just read your limericks. Enjoyed them all. Please add more to your list. Oh and another love poem please. Sam Thanks Corvus and Sam. I'm glad you enjoyed the limericks. They were fun to write despite the additional effort. It's not at all like writing more typical poetry. The best thing about them is their brevity. The 30 lines I posted took longer to produce than any other 30 lines of poetry I've done...not that I have much experience. "Orange" was fun. My real hope is that these limericks will have enough appeal that others will try their hand at writing some. Link to comment
C James
My favorite was this one; We've read works of an author learnedwho has had some books banned or burned. Link to comment

C James
Cliffhanger? Goats are strange. Not as strange as frogs! It's a cliffhanger. We don't know what happens to that poor author... Link to comment
